Hi my name is Tom Neville and welcome to my personal review of Maverick Money Makers.

If you are looking for a way to make money on the Internet and work from home you have found the perfect website to help guide you in the right direction.

There are many work-from-home programs on the Internet today that will promise you the world, however most of these programs don't deliver on their promises. If you aren't careful you will end up joining a work-from-home program that just takes your money and leaves you with an empty pocket.

I know from firsthand experience which programs actually work and which ones will just steal your money. See, two years ago when my company was sold and I was let go with 3,000 others, so I started searching the Internet for ways to create a part-time second income.

After investing 8 months of my time and over $5700 in bogus money making programs I finally found a few work from home programs that actually work. Of the 28 programs I signed up for only two of them made me money. I have provided a review of one of these programs on this page.

I am now happy to say just 6 months after I started using Maverick Money Makers. I have been consistently earning between $6,000 and $8,000 per month using this work-from-home program. The other has a nice income as well but I will save that for another review.

If you are looking to start making money with a legitimate work-from-home opportunity I highly suggest you look into this online coaching club.

Maverick Money Makers is my top rated pick for working from home and making money online.

This program alone has been privately helping people just like you and me earn substantial incomes working from the comfort of their own homes. Mack Michaels, the founder, has been able to help people with little to no startup capital earn six-figure incomes within 12 months of starting their programs.

Now for the first time ever he has created an opportunity open to the public. You can take advantage of his years of knowledge and experience and plug into a turn-key system where you can start using the exact same money making strategies they hes been teaching privately for years.

This club has been responsible for creating numerous online millionaires and has allowed countless numbers of people the freedom to quit their day jobs.

If you are looking to create a second income while still keeping your current job or if you are looking to create a substantial income so you can quit your job, then Maverick Money Makers can help you do that.

The main reason this program is better than anything else on the market today is because this system was built for anyone who is willing to take a half hour a day and follow some simple instructions. Even if you have little to no computer experience you can make money with this coaching club.

I have researched and tested 28 different work from home money making opportunities and nothing compares to the Maverick Money Makers club. Mack Michaels has a support department that is very helpful and always available.

If you have any questions along the way he is just a phone call or a quick email away. The customer support you receive with this online coaching club is second to none.

The Pros: The system is 99% turn-key; all you need to do is follow some easy instructions and guidance and you can start making money online in no time. You will be very pleased to find out exactly how easy it is to earn money online once you get going.

You can earn a consistent income working just part time from your home computer. This system has been proven to work time and time again and provides real financial results for its users.

I have personally been using Maverick Money Makers to earn money online, and I am earning between $6,000 and $8,000 per month consistently with very little effort.

My close friends and family all use this club to earn money online and are doing very well also. Even my 73 year old mother in-law started using this club recently and is earning $2400+ per month working under 1 hour per day.

This is a great system to get started with if you are new to making money on the Internet. This system will keep you from making all the costly mistakes most people make when they are looking to make money online for the first time.

The Cons: It was really hard to find a flaw in this system. You have to have the money required to join, but I found this investment to be covered quickly by my returns. It gives you exactly what Mack Michaels says it will give you. The only thing I could find that is a 'con' is the fact that you have to put in work at the beginning and a little work each week.

Nothing much, but only a few hours a week to ensure that your income is flowing and a few hours to make sure that you're completely set up.

Regardless, I find it fun. I'm sure you'll find making easy money fun as well.

6 Red Hot Tips To Get Your Articles Read

6 Red Hot Tips To Get Your Articles Read
Copyright © Thomas Neville
Web Site: Work At home Computer Based Business

There are many people who dread having to write papers or articles. Many just feel like it seems to be too much work and it all just goes to waste when no one reads the. To some people, reading articles seems like work to, especially if the article is boring and very bland. Well, articles are supposed to be read, that’s their purpose to impart your message and information. If it is not read then it is a waste of time and effort.

But all the same, articles have to be written to be read. It’s just a matter of making them good. Making a good article doesn’t have to be strenuous and straining. There are just some points needed to be reminded of, and some guides to follow. Once you get the hang of it, writing articles could be fun, as well as profitable for you and your site.

Of course, writing articles must be about something you know about, that’s why if you own a site, you probably is knowledgeable about that certain topic and theme. When you write about it, you won’t have a hard time because you already know what it is and what it’s about. It’s just a matter of making your articles creative and interesting.

To make sure that your articles get read and enjoyed, here are six red hot tips to get your articles read. These tips will make your articles readable and interesting.

1) Use short paragraphs. When the paragraph are very long, the words get jumbled in the mind of the reader just looking at it It can get quite confusing and too much of a hard work to read. The reader will just quickly disregard the paragraph and move on to much easier reading articles that are good to look at as well as read. Paragraphs can be a single sentence, sometimes even a single word!

2) Make use of numbers or bullets. As each point is stressed out, numbers and bullets can quickly make the point easy to remember and digest. As each point, tip, guide or method is started with a bullet or point, readers will know that this is where the tips start and getting stressed. Format you bullets and numbers with indentations so that your4 article won’t look like a single block of square paragraphs. Add a little bit of flair and pizzazz to your articles shape.

3) Use Sub-headings to sub-divide your paragraphs in the page. Doing this will break each point into sections but still would be incorporated into one whole article. It would also be easy for the reader to move on from one point to another; the transition would be smooth and easy. You will never lose your readers attention as well as the point and direction to where the article is pointing.

4) Provide a good attention-grabbing title or header. If your title can entice a person’s curiosity you’re already halfway in getting a person to read your article. Use statements and questions that utilize keywords that people are looking for. Provide titles or headers that describe your articles content but should also be short and concise.

Use titles like, “Tips on making her want you more”, or “How to make her swoon and blush” .You could also use titles that can command people, for example, “Make her yours in six easy Ways”. These types of titles reach out to a persons’ emotions and makes them interested.

5) Keep them interested from the start to the finish. From your opening paragraph, use real life situations that can be adopted by the reader. Use good descriptions and metaphors to drive in your point, just don’t over do it. Driving your examples with graphic metaphors and similes would make it easy for them to imagine what you are talking about. Making the experience pleasurable and enjoyable for them.

6) Utilize figures when necessary and not just ordinary and insipid statements. Using specific facts and figures can heighten your article because it makes it authoritative. But do not make it too formal, it should be light and easy in them and flow. Like a friendly teacher having a little chat with an eager student.

A Day In The Life Of An Affiliate Marketer

A Day In The Life Of An Affiliate Marketer
Copyright © Thomas Neville
Web Site: Work At home Computer Based Business

Being in the affiliate marketing business is not that hard now with the internet at your disposable. It is much easier now compared to the days when people have to make use of the telephones and other mediums of information just to get the latest updates on the way their program is coming along.

So with technology at hand, and assuming that the affiliate is working from home, a day in his or her life would sound something like this…

Upon waking up and after having breakfast, the computer is turned on to check out new developments in the network. As far as the marketer is concerned there might be new things to update and statistics to keep track on.

The site design has to be revised. The marketer knows that a well-designed site can increase sign ups from visitors. It can also help in the affiliate’s conversion rates.

That done, it is time to submit the affiliate program to directories that lists affiliate programs. These directories are means to attract people in joining your affiliate program. A sure way of promoting the affiliate program.

Time to track down the sales you are getting from your affiliates fairly and accurately. There are phone orders and mails to track down. See if they are new clients checking the products out. Jotting down the contact information that might be a viable source in the future.

There are lots of resources to sort out. Ads, banners, button ads and sample recommendations to give out because the marketer knows that this is one way of ensuring more sales. Best to stay visible and accessible too.

The affiliate marketer remembered that there are questions to answer from the visitors. This has to be done quickly. Nothing can turn off a customer than an unanswered email.

To prove that the affiliate is working effectively and efficiently, inquiries would have to be paid more attention on. Nobody wants to be ignored and customers are not always the most patient of all people. Quick answer that should appear professional yet friendly too.

In the process of doing all the necessities, the marketer is logged on to a chat room where he or she interacts with other affiliates and those under that same program. This is where they can discuss things on how to best promote their products.

There are things to be learned and it is a continuous process. Sharing tips and advices is a good way of showing support. There may be others out there wanting to join and may be enticed by the discussion that is going on. There is no harm in assuming what opportunities ahead.

The newsletters and ezines were updated days ago, so it is time for the affiliate marketer to see if there are some new things happening in the market. This will be written about in the marketer’s publication to be distributed to the old and new customers.

These same publications are also an important tool in keeping up to date with the newly introduced products. The marketer has put up a sale and promotion that customers may want to know about. Besides, they have to keep up with the deadline of these sales written in the publications.

It is that time to show some appreciation to those who have helped the marketer in the promotions and sale increase. Nothing like mentioning the persons, their sites and the process they have done that made everything worked.

Of course, this will be published in the newsletters. Among the more important information that have been written already.

The marketer still has time to write out recommendations to those who want credible sources for the products being promoted. There is also time to post some comments on how to be a successful affiliate marketer on a site where there are lots of wannabees.

Two objectives done at the same time. The marketer gets to promote the product as well as the program they are in. Who knows, someone may be inclined to join.

Time flies. Missed lunch but is quite contented with the tasks done. Bed time….

Ok, so this may not be all done in a day. But then, this gives you an idea of how an affiliate marketer, a dedicated one that is, spends the marketing day.

Is that success looming in the distance or what?

How To Generate Traffic Using Only Free Methods

How To Generate Traffic Using Only Free Methods
Copyright © Thomas Neville
Web Site: Work At home Computer Based Business

Starting up a company would of course require a lot of things, but to get straight to the point, you need capital. To make money requires money as well. But of course, with the versatility that the internet offers, there are many ways you could help optimize the potential of your site or business in generating traffic.

While there are ways to jumpstart your traffic flows, many sites don’t have the resources that others have to generate more traffic for your site. Well, you don’t have to spend a cent; all you need is the proper mindset and a lot of eagerness. You also must have the drive and perseverance to do hard work and research to generate more traffic for your site.

How sweet it is to have more traffic for your site without spending a single cent. Now it’s a sure thing that many sites have articles that offer tips and guidelines in how to generate traffic using only free methods. Because it is possible, you don’t need to speed a single cent, it may take time, to say honestly, I’m not going to beat around the bush with you. You get better chances by paying for your advertisements, but at least you get a fighting chance with some of these free methods I’m about to tell you.

Take advantage of online forums and online communities. The great thing about forums and online communities is that you can target a certain group that fits the certain demographic that you are looking for. You can discuss about lots of things about the niche that you represent or offer. Another great advantage is that you know what you are getting into and you will be prepared.

With online communities and forums you can build a reputation for your company. Show them what you are made of and wow them with your range of expertise about the subject, with that you can build a reputation and build trust with the people in your expertise and knowledge.

You can also make use of newsletters. Provide people with a catalog of your products and interesting and entertaining articles. If you make it really interesting and entertaining, more people will sign up for your newsletter and recommend it to other people. The more people who signs up for your newsletter, the more people there will be that will go to your site increasing your traffic.

Another great idea is trading links with other sites. You don’t have to spend a cent. All you have to do is reach an agreement with another webmaster. With exchanging links, the efforts both sites do will benefit both sites. Every traffic that goes to the site could potentially click on the link of your site and visit your site as well. This works well especially when both sites feature the same niche.

Write articles that could pique the attention of people that have interest in your product. Try writing articles that will provide tips and guides to other aficionados. Writing articles that provide good service and knowledge to other people would provide the necessary mileage your traffic flow needs.

Many sites offer free submission and posting of your articles. When people find interest in your articles they have a good chance of following the track by finding out where the article originated. Include a link or a brief description of your company with the article and there’s a great probability that they will go to your site.

Write good content for your site. Many search engines track down the keywords and keyword phrases your site uses and how they are used. It is not a requirement that a content should be done by a professional content writer. You could do your on but you have to make content for your site that is entertaining as well as informational. It should provide certain requirements as well as great quality.

Generally, internet users use search engines to find what they are looking for. Search engines in return use keyword searching in aiding their search results. With the right keywords, you could get high rankings in search engine results without the costs.

All of these methods and more will drive more traffic to your site for free. All it takes is a bit of effort and extended man hours. Learn all you can about the methods depicted here and you will soon have a site with a great traffic flow without the usual costs that come with it.

4 Ways To Get Your Opt In Subscribers To Trust You Quickly

4 Ways To Get Your Opt In Subscribers To Trust You Quickly
Copyright © Thomas Neville
Web Site: Work At home Computer Based Business

While the rest of the world have developed many barriers and protections to keep their e-mail accounts spam-free, there are also those that subscribe to mails that promotes their products, services and their site. This is mainly because these subscribes wants to know more about what these sites are offering and can be beneficial for them. They expect to get be kept posted on what they are interested in and what are new in the market or field they have chosen.

Businesses would be so lucky to have these kinds of customers; the basic element needed to get these types of people is trust. When your customers trust you they will reward you with their loyalty. Many internet users have gone to great lengths in protecting their email accounts from spam mail. Some free-mail internet providers and internet service providers offer spam protection while there are also some internet based companies that screen your mails for you.

With an opt-in mail list, the mails you send containing your promotional materials such as newsletters, catalogs and marketing media will go through. Your intended recipient will be able to read and view what you have sent making it a successful transfer of information. To be able to be allowed to do so, you will need permission from your recipient, to get this permission; you need to be able to get their trust. With the great lack of disregard for privacy in the internet, getting the trust of an internet user you don’t personally know is a big achievement.

To build a good opt-in list you need people to trust you, for a faster and quicker build up, you need to get your opt-in subscribers to trust you quickly. The faster you build your opt-in list the faster word about your site and company gets to be spread. The bigger the scope of your opt-in list the more traffic you get spelling more profits. Its easy math if you thin about it. Getting the numbers is not that simple though, or maybe it is?

• Getting the trust of your clientele shouldn’t be so hard especially if you do have a legitimate business. Getting your customers trust should be based upon your expertise. People rely on other people who know what they are talking about. Garner all the knowledge and information about your business. Ell, frankly if you decide to go into a business most probably you have an interest in it. Like how many basketball payers become coaches, you don’t really venture into something you don’t have any interest in.

• Show your clients that you know what you are talking about. Provide them with helpful hints and guidelines that pertain to what you are selling. Talk about how to install a roof if your into hardware products or provide articles on insurance settlements if you’re a settlement lawyer. You don’t have to be a big corporation to make use of an opt-in list. If your customers see you as someone who knows what he is doing and saying, they will trust you quickly.

• Be true to your customers, if you want to hype up your products and services, provide guarantees. The more satisfied customers you get, the bigger probability there is that they will recommend you. Generally, people will trust someone they know, when that someone recommends you then you’re a shoo-in. They will go to your site and check it for themselves and be given a chance to experience what the other shave experienced from you, so make sure to be consistent in the service you provide.

• Another tip in getting a customer to trust you quickly is to provide them an escape hatch. Show them that you are not there to trap them. Keep a clean list that would enable them to unsubscribe anytime they want. Elaborate your web form by providing information on how to unsubscribe from the list. Guarantee them that they can let go of the service when ever they want to. Many are wary that they may be stuck for life and would have to abandon their email accounts when they get pestered with spam.

Remember that when you get the trust of your clients don’t lose that trust. Because if you do anything with their email addresses like sell them or give them out, you will lose many members of your list as ell as potential members. The true quickest way to gain the trust of your subscribers is when you are recommended by someone they trust.

The 3 Things To Avoid When Emailing Your List

The 3 Things To Avoid When Emailing Your List
Copyright © Thomas Neville
Web Site: Work At home Computer Based Business

When you decide to have an opt-in list, it is not just a matter of sending your subscribers your promotional newsletters or catalogs. There are many things to consider in avoiding many complications. While there are so many ways you can make people subscribe to your list, there are also some things you must do to avoid subscribers from wanting to get off from your list.

Aside from that, you also want to avoid any problems with the law and your internet service provider or ISP. There are now many laws and rules that are applied to help protect the privacy of the internet users from spamming and unwanted mails. With the popularity of the electronic mail as a medium for marketing because of the low cost, many company’s have seized the opportunity and have flooded many people’s e-mail accounts with promotional mail.

But, with an opt-in list, you avoid this annoyance because people subscribe to the list; they want to receive the newsletters and promotional materials. They have consented to being on the list by subscribing themselves, just don’t forget to put an unsubscribe feature everytime in your opt-in list so that you avoid any confusion. There may be times when an email account was provided when the real owner didn’t want to subscribe.

It is essential that you keep your list clean and manageable. Arrange it by using the many tools and technologies available for your opt-in list. Do not worry; your investment in this marketing strategy is well worth it with all the coverage you will get which will likely be converted into sales then to profit.

Keep yourself and your business out of trouble and potential run-ins with the law and the internet service providers. Keep your operation legit and clean. Your reputation as a legitimate businessman and a legitimate site depends on your being a straight and true marketing strategist. As a tip, here are three things to avoid when emailing your list.

1) Take notice of your unsuccessful sends. These are the e-mails that bounce. Bounced emails, also known as undeliverable messages, are those messages that, for whatever reason, were not successfully received by the intended recipient.

There are bounces that happen or occur because the server was busy at that time but can still be delivered in another time. There are also bounces because the inbox of the recipient is full at that time. There are those bounce messages that are simply undeliverable ever. The reason for this is that it may be an invalid email address, a misspelled email address, or an email address that was abandoned and erased already.

Manage your list by putting markings on those that bounce. Erase an email account from your list so that you have an accurate statistics and records as to how many are actually receiving your mail. You may also want to check the spellings of your email addresses in your list. One common mistake is when an N instead of an M is placed in the .com area.

2) Always provide an unsubscribe feature in your site and an unsubscribe link in your mails. When someone in your list files a request to be unsubscribed, always take that request seriously. If you don’t take them off your list and keep sending them your e-mails, you are now sending them spam mail.

When you are reported as a spammer, you and your business can get into a lot of trouble. You can be reported to the authorities and maybe blacklisted by many internet service providers. You will lose a lot of subscribers this way and many more in potential subscribers.

3) Do not provide pornographic or shocking and disturbing content in your newsletters. It is hard to decipher the age of the recipient and many complaints may stem from these. Controversial issues also are to be avoided to not be branded by your subscribers. Stick to the nature of your site and business.

Always remember these tips in this article so that you can have a healthy relationship with your subscribers as well as be kept within the boundaries of what is allowed in sending mails to an opt-in list.

How To Grab Your Readers Attention With Your Subject

How To Grab Your Readers Attention With Your Subject
Copyright © Thomas Neville
Web Site: Work At home Computer Based Business

The race for supremacy in the Internet based businesses has been really heating up and many sites have been put up to help others to get ahead for a small fee. But there are also ways in which you don’t have to pay so much to make yourself a good list of loyal followers. Having a satisfied web traffic and visitors allows you to put up a foundation wherein you can build an opt-in list and make it grow from there.

An opt-in list allows you to provide newsletters to your subscribers with their consent. When people sign up, they know that they will be receiving updates and news from your site and the industry your represent via an e-mail. But that doesn’t mean that all of those who subscribe read them at all. Many lists have been built due to an attachment with free software or for a promotional discount and such. Some are not really interested in receiving e-mails from companies and just treat them as waste of cyberspace and delete or trash them without so mush as opening the e-mail and scanning them.

You can change all that. While forwarding an email message is relatively after producing your newsletter. Getting people to open them is not as easy. You don’t want to waste all the time and effort used in making the newsletters, you want people to read them and have their interests piqued. Interested enough to go to your website and look around and most especially purchased and acquire your products or services.

One of the numerous ways you can tempt or persuade your subscriber is by providing a well thought out and well written subject. The subject of an email is what is often referred to when a person or a recipient of an email decides whether he or she wants to open or read an e-mail. The subject could easily be regarded as one of the most important aspect of your promotional e-mail.

Your subject must be short and concise. They should provide a summary for the content of the e-mail so that the recipient will have basic knowledge of the content. This is really vital in grabbing the attention of your readers and subscribers. You want your subject to instantly grab the attention of your subscriber and get them to be intrigued to open up your mail. Remember, it is not necessarily true that a subscriber opens up subscribed mails.

A good subject must always be tickling the curiosity of your recipient. It must literally force the recipient to open the mail. A certain emotion must be ignited and get them to open the mail. It is essential to use specific words to get the reaction you need. Keep in mind that the recipient or subscribers spends only a few seconds looking over each subject of the e-mails he receives. You must grab your reader’s attention right away.

There are many forms you can use for your subject. You can provide a subject that says your e-mail contains content that teaches them tips and methods on certain topics. An example of this is using keywords and keyword phrases such as, “How to” , “tips”, “Guides to”, Methods in and others like that.

You can also put your subject in a question form. These may include questions like, “Are you sick and tired of your job?” Or “Is your boss always on your case?” Try to stay on the topic that pertains to your site so that you’ll know that your subscribers have signed up because they are interested in that topic. This form of subject is very effective because they reach out to your recipients emotions. When they have read the question on your subject, their mind starts answering the question already.

You can also use a subject that commands your reader. Statements such as “Act now and get this once in a lifetime opportunity”, or “Double, triple and even quadruple what you are earning in one year”. This type of subject deals with the benefits your company provides with your product and services.

You may also use breaking news as your subject to intrigue your subscriber. For example, if you deal with car engine parts you can write in your subject, “Announcing the new engine that uses no gasoline, It runs on water”. This creates curiosity with the reader and will lead them to open the mail and read on.

Creative and Profitable Ways to Use Autoreponders

Creative and Profitable Ways to Use Autoreponders
Copyright © Thomas Neville
Web Site: Work At home Computer Based Business

An interested visitor who has been strolling through your site has finally come to just what she is looking for and is about to make a purchase. It's a sunny afternoon, and her cat, who happens to be sitting on the moss under the visitor's large fifty-year-old snow-rose bonsai tree, suddenly jumps down, and the priceless tree topples over.

In the blink of an eye, your visitor exits your site, and your sale is dust - unless you have had the foresight to utilize an autoresponder that has captured her email address. If you have installed an autoresponder, you can then follow-up with her, and in all probability, make the sale when the poor woman has finished repotting her precious bonsai.

Autoresponders are remarkable, versatile programs that do so much more than just automatically answer your email. Here are a few ideas that will help you to creatively and productively use your autoresponder to transform the casual visitor into a profitable customer. Use your autoresponder to:

1. Publish a newsletter. Certain quality autoresponders will manage subscriptions and follow-up with interested prospects. Your newsletter can keep your visitors informed about your services or products, while building your reputation as a credible expert in your particular business.

2. Publish a newsletter only for your affiliates. Inform them of current sales you are running and of promotional material that your affiliates can use themselves to increase their commissions. Include tips, advice, and techniques that your affiliates can use to successfully go out and promote your business.

3. Write reviews. Cover books, software, music, e-books, movies, etc., and put each review in an autoresponder. Review your affiliate programs, using a link to your affiliate's page in your autoresponder.

4. Distribute your articles. Writing and distributing targeted articles is a powerful tool to build your business credibility, bring traffic to your site, and increase your sales potential. If your articles contain valuable information, many editors will print what is known as a resource box for you. A resource box contains your bio and a brief description of your service or product. It can also contain your autoresponder address. Let's say you've written fifty articles. Put them on separate autoresponder accounts and create a master list that contains the titles of each article, the autoresponder address, and a brief abstract. Then promote your master list. Additionally, include your publishing guidelines so your affiliates can add their articles to your list, increasing the number of writers who are represented in your article list.

5. Create mailing lists. Inform subscribers to your articles when you've written new ones that they may want to publish in their own newsletter or website.

6. Automate your sales process. Use an ad to insure repeated exposure of your message, which has been proven to effectively increase sales. In your ad, put your autoresponder address where a visitor will be exposed to numerous marketing materials. This multiplies the chances of converting visitors into customers. For example, if you're selling a particular product, put testimonials about how spectacular it is on your autoresponder, and add a
detailed, enticing description of your product.

7. Distribute advertising. Let's say you sell advertising on your website or in your newsletter or e-zine. Set your autoresponder to send the information about rates and how to place an ad automatically to all prospects' email addresses. Then have your autoresponder follow-up. It can also send notification of any special deals you are currently offering.

8. Distribute an email course. Each day, have your autoresponder send out another lesson. Just be sure that each lesson has quality content - not a sales pitch. Your content will do the selling for you, and will do it much more effectively. You can include tips centered on a different topic for each lesson, illustrating how your
product will benefit the reader. Include the tangible benefits the visitor will reap by purchasing your product. Make sure to include a paragraph or two at the end of each lesson enticing your prospect to consider making a purchase.

9. Automate a reminder about your service or product after a visitor has completed your course. This will increase the possibility of sales from visitors who have taken your course but are dragging their feet about actually making a purchase. You can also use these reminders to promote new products or services, and the products and services of your affiliate programs.

10. Distribute free reports. This gives your visitor an idea of the type of information you can provide and the quality of your product or service. Make sure these reports are not sales letters or you will more than likely lose a potential customer than gain a sale.

11. Create trivia quizzes on your site and place the answers in an autoresponder. Your visitor will then be motivated to request your autoresponder, and you will have a record of the visitors' email addresses who took your quiz. Or create a contest and have any visitors that enter send their responses to your autoresponder. Your
autoresponder can be set-up to send them a confirmation of their entry.

12. Offer a trial version of your product. Give your prospects a sample of your ebook, course, software, membership, etc. People who are exposed to a little taste often end up wanting the whole pie. You can also capture their email addresses when you offer them a free trial from your website. Set up your autoresponder to give
instructions on how to obtain their free trial, and then make sure to follow-up to try and close the sale.

13. Link to hidden pages on your autoresponder. For example, a hidden page could be your affiliate page that contains graphics, promotional articles, and text links that interested affiliates can make use of. Inform visitors that they may have free access to your affiliate page by simply requesting your autoresponder. You will then gather a list of visitors who may be interested in becoming your affiliates.

14. Use an autoresponder on your order page. Post a request form for visitors to be notified of special offers or discounts in the future. This creates a very effective mailing list that contains the names of people who are already your customers.

15. Put your links page on your autoresponder. It should contain up to fifty links that would be of particular interest to your visitors. Make sure to add your own promotional copy at the top or bottom of this page.

Now that you have proof that autoresponders can be used creatively, see if you can come up with some brilliant ideas of your own!

Introduction to Autoresponders

Introduction to Autoresponders
Copyright © Thomas Neville
Web Site: Work At home Computer Based Business

If you've reached the point of exhaustion trying to keep up with answering the mountain of emails that threatens to bury you alive every single day, you're ready to learn about autoresponders.

The bad news is that people expect prompt replies to their email inquiries. However, unless you can figure out how to work continual twenty-four hour shifts, or hire enough people to constantly onitor incoming emails (while they're eating up your revenue), you have a problem. The good news is an autoresponder is an inexpensive - or even free - method of quickly responding to emails. What these programs do is automatically respond to incoming emails as soon as they are received.

Emails are essential to your business for many different reasons. Most importantly, these invisible email voices give you their feedback about your website - for free! However, if you spend all your working hours answering these emails, how are you supposed to run your business? The answer is simple: use autoresponders. Autoresponders are programs that automatically respond to your emails without you so much as having to click on your mouse.

There are a number of good reasons why you need an autoresponder besides just answering your email. For example, autoresponders can be used if you need a way to send information about your services or products, price lists, or if there are repeated questions asked across large numbers of emails. Maybe you want to offer your site
visitors a special bonus of some kind, such as advice or relevant articles. All of this can be handled by an autoresponder. Additionally, you can advertise your business and then build stable relationships with your customers by using autoresponders.

Autoresponder programs vary from software that runs with your email program to a specialized script that runs on your web hosting company's server. This kind of script may use a web page form or simply operate with your email account. This kind of script is programmed to send out a standardized message whenever an email is received. The message is sent to a particular script or email address.

Some autoresponders can do more than simply send out standardized messages. They can send out an unlimited number of follow-up messages sent at predetermined interval of time. For example, you can set your autoresponder to send out a new message every day for as long a period as you desire.

There are numerous companies who offer autoresponders free of charge. Your website hosting company often provides autoresponders as a free service. If this is not the case with your web hosting company, there are numerous companies who offer this service for a small fee, or free of charge, providing you attach an advertisement for their company to your emails.

To personalize your autoresponder messages, you can attach a signature. Signatures in this case are much like business cards. You can include your name, company, all your contact numbers and addresses, and a brief message.

It's a good idea to attach a signature to every email that is sent out. This works as a repeated reminder of your business identity every time a customer sees it. The more they look at your signature, the more likely your company will spring to mind when your particular service or product is needed.

You can create a standardized signature that every employee in your business uses, or you can go wild, and let every staff member create their own personal signature. Of course, like everything in life, there are some rules and guidelines to creating a personal signature.

Keep the length of your signature between four to six lines of text, with no more than 70 characters in a single line. Make sure that your email program does not cut off your text! The content should include your name, your company name, your email address, fax number, and any other contact details, such as 800 numbers. Lastly, always include a short personal message about your company. It should be a subtle sell of your services or your products, and possibly your company's reliability and longevity.

Another specialized use of autoresponders is to create courses that you can then offer your site visitors for free. You must choose a topic in which you are an expert and that precisely targets your potential customers.

Once you have carefully chosen your subject, divide it into a number of different sub-topics. Then offer your site visitor a free 10 or 15 day course, each day offering a different sub-topic. The first topic should always be a welcome message to your site visitor and an explanation about what is to follow. Your explanation should be enticing, getting the point across that you are offering free, quality information that your target audience will find of great value.

With every lesson, include the number of the lesson, the topic title, information about your company and its services or products. At the end, include a few blurbs about the next lesson to entice the subscriber to continue on.

Make sure each topic is packed with essential and valuable information, and leaves the visitor lusting to know more. Otherwise, you may lose them in the very beginning.
Of course, you have to write up your course before you can offer it. Once you have done this, and gone over the material carefully, employing a professional writer or editor if necessary, you must transfer your text to your autoresponder.

There are a number of free autoresponders you can use. Try http:/www.getresponse.com, or http://www.fastfacts.net. Or go onto Google and you will find a long list of free autoresponder companies. Then sign-up for your chosen autoresponder. Once you do, you will receive instructions as to how to set it up and transfer your text.

Email is an excellent marketing tool; it is inexpensive and it is fast. Use it to advertise your business by choosing your email address carefully. Your website should contain different email addresses for different contact requests. For example, use info@yourdomain.com for information requests, or sales@yourdomain.com for questions about sales. It's a good idea to set up one for the owner, such as president@yourdomain.com. This presents your company in a personal, approachable light and insures that direct contact is provided.

Autoresponders are an effective and powerful marketing tool, allowing you to make contact with thousands of potential customers. This is an invaluable asset considering how many potential customers you usually have contact with before you make an actual sale. Essentially, an autoresponser allows you to automate part of your marketing campaign.

How to Price Your eBook

How to Price Your eBook
Copyright © Thomas Neville
Web Site: Work At home Computer Based Business

You've written and compiled an ebook. Now you have to decide how much to charge for it. Finding the right price is essential to the success of your product. If you charge too little, people will think it's of little value, and they won't purchase it, or even it
they do buy your book, you will have to sell thousands of copies to get to the point where you can begin to see a profit. If you price it too high when compared with your competition, you will find yourself steadily lowering the price, which will cause you all kinds of new problems in the future. For example, if you sell
your ebook at first for $39.99, and later reduce it to $24.95, don't you think the people who bought it for $39.99 are going to be PISSED?

Choosing the right price for your ebook is one of the most critical parts of the marketing process. The first rule of pricing ebooks is to never under price. Determine the highest price your audience can afford, and then if you find your book isn't selling, you can always reduce the price. Before you take that step, make sure you are promoting your book like crazy on the Internet and on websites. The price should be aimed at bringing in profits, but you should never forget that price is one of the factors that people use in judging the value of your ebook ? before they buy it. So always start with the highest price, and then launch a mega-marketing campaign.

Pricing an ebook is particularly difficult because ebooks are a fairly new commodity. Since they are digital, the value of an ebook is as confusing as the understanding of what digital actually is to the average layperson. This means that we must look at ebooks in a different light in order to determine their actual worth in this brave, new cyber world.

Let's look at the difference between a book in print and an ebook. A printed book is an object you can hold in your hand, store on your bookshelf, even hand down to the next generation. It is priced on factors such as paper stock, design and production costs, and
marketing.

But the fact that unites ebooks and print books is that they are composed of ideas. It is the ideas in these books that have the ability to change, or possibly transform, people's lives.

What do you think an idea is worth when evaluated against the cost of paper and ink?

It is the IDEAS that are valuable! That is how you determine the cost of your ebook.

What should I charge for my ideas?

There are all different formulas and methods for determining the correct price for your ebook. Let's begin with honing in on your ultimate goals.

Decide if your goal is to get wide distribution and maximum exposure. This goal is aimed at drawing customers to your business or service, or to establishing the credibility of your reputation. If this is your main goal, you should aim to keep your price on the low side. Some authors have even priced their ebooks at a profit loss to draw a high number of new customers. The key is to find a price that maximizes your profits and the number of books you
sell.

This is an excellent pricing strategy if you are looking to acquire long-term customers. Long-term customers are extremely likely to buy from you again and again ? as long as the first ebook they buy is of exceptional quality and beneficial to the customer.

However, if your book contains valuable ? and more importantly NEW information, references, or techniques ? then you should aim to price it on the high end.

After you figure out your goal, you must figure out what your audience's need is for your ebook. For example, does your book solve a particular problem? If it does, and solves it in a way that hasn't been written about in one hundred other ebooks, you will be
able to achieve high sales at a high price. If your book solves a problem or answers questions in a new and unique way, you should price your book as high as you can go. You will achieve larger profits this way, but bring in fewer customers. Just make sure the
question or problem that your book solves is one that is important and relevant to the majority of your market audience. If your ideas are not common knowledge, or you are presenting a brand new
technique, you will be able to sell books at a high price. Just be prepared for your competition to undercut you on price as soon as they hear about your book.

Keep in mind that the above pricing strategy is temporary. Eventually, you will cease to sell books at this high price. So figure out in advance how long you plan to offer your ebook at this high price, and when that time is up, change your pricing strategy.

If you want to see large profits over customer draw, aim for an audience that is looking for easy solutions to their problems at a low price. If your book is aimed at solving one particular problem rather than general advice, then you can charge more. Start at the
highest price the market will bear to bring in the largest profits, and plan to discount the book a number of times throughout the year.

Marketing Strategies

The key that unlocks the sales potential of your ebook is to find a single sentence that becomes your selling handle. This sentence states what question or problem your book answers and the benefits your ebook can provide. Then be sure to use that sentence in every
piece of sales and promotional material, and every time anyone asks you about your ebook.

Besides promoting your books assiduously online, there are several other strategies that can help you sell more books.

One is to give something away for free with your book, such as a valuable bonus item. Or bundle several ebooks under one price, which lowers the price for each ebook if they were sold separately.

An effective technique for figuring out a price is to send out a survey to your current customers. If these customers have already bought an ebook from you, ask for their opinion in terms of price. Do this by creating a sales page for the new book, but don't
include a price on that page. Instead, add a number of links to survey questions that ask pointed questions to aid you in assigning a price to your ebook.

Another strategy is to test out prices by creating a number of duplicate sales pages with different prices on each page. Make sure your sales copy is exactly the same on every page, and includes your selling-handle sentence. Then figure out for each page the conversion ratio between visitors to your site and sales of your
book. This will tell you what your optimum price is.

Ultimately, if you've written a book that solves a problem or presents a new technique, your book will bring in both traffic and profits. So be sure to write that selling-handle sentence that sums up what problem your book solves and what the benefits of your book
will be to the customers who purchase it. And then watch your market come to you!

How to Write a Killer Ebook

How to Write a Killer Ebook
Copyright © Thomas Neville
Web Site: Work At home Computer Based Business

The hardest part of writing is the first sentence. When you look at the whole project, it seems like an impossible task. That's why you have to break it down into manageable tasks. Think of climbing a mountain. You are standing at the foot of it and looking up at its summit vanishing into the clouds. How can you possibly scale such an immense and dangerous mountain?

There is only one way to climb a mountain? step by step.

Now think of writing your ebook in the same light. You must create it step by step, and one day, you will take that last step and find yourself standing on the summit with your head in the clouds.

The first thing you have to do, as if you actually were a mountain climber, is to get organized. Instead of climbing gear, however, you must organize your thoughts. There are some steps you should take before you begin. Once you've gone through the following list, you will be ready to actually begin writing your ebook.

Beginning Steps to Writing an ebook

First, figure out your ebook's working title. Jot down a few different titles, and eventually, you'll find that one that will grow on you. Titles help you to focus your writing on your topic; they guide you in anticipating and answering your reader's queries. Many non-fiction books also have subtitles. Aim for clarity in your titles, but cleverness always helps to sell books ? as long as it's not too cute. For example, Remedies for Insomnia: twenty different ways to count sheep. Or: Get off that couch: fifteen exercise plans to whip you into shape.

Next, write out a thesis statement. Your thesis is a sentence or two stating exactly what problem you are addressing and how your book will solve that problem. All chapters spring forth from your thesis statement. Once you've got your thesis statement fine-tuned, you've built your foundation. From that foundation, your book will grow, chapter by chapter.

Your thesis will keep you focused while you write your ebook. Remember: all chapters must support your thesis statement. If they don't, they don't belong in your book. For example, your thesis statement could read: We've all experienced insomnia at times in our lives, but there are twenty proven techniques and methods to give you back a good night's sleep.

Once you have your thesis, before you start to write, make sure there is a good reason to write your book. Ask yourself some questions:

* Does your book present useful information and is that information currently relevant?

* Will you book positively affect the lives of your readers?

* Is your book dynamic and will it keep the reader's attention?

* Does you book answer questions that are meaningful and significant?

If you can answer yes to these questions, you can feel confident about the potential of your ebook.

Another important step is to figure out who your target audience is. It is this group of people you will be writing to, and this group will dictate many elements of your book, such as style, tone, diction, and even length. Figure out the age range of your readers, their general gender, what they are most interested in, and even the socio-economic group they primarily come from. Are they people who read fashion magazines or book reviews? Do they write letters in longhand or spend hours every day online. The more you can pin down your target audience, the easier it will be to write your book for them.

Next, make a list of the reasons you are writing your ebook. Do you want to promote your business? Do you want to bring quality traffic to your website? Do you want to enhance your reputation?

Then write down your goals in terms of publishing. Do you want to sell it as a product on your website, or do you want to offer it as a free gift for filling out a survey or for ordering a product? Do you want to use the chapters to create an e-course, or use your ebook to attract affiliates around the world? The more you know upfront, the easier the actual writing will be.

Decide on the format of your chapters. In non-fiction, keep the format from chapter to chapter fairly consistent. Perhaps you plan to use an introduction to your chapter topic, and then divide it into four subhead topics. Or you may plan to divide it into five parts, each one beginning with a relevant anecdote.

How to make your ebook "user friendly"

You must figure out how to keep your writing engaging. Often anecdotes, testimonials, little stories, photos, graphs, advice, and tips will keep the reader turning the pages. Sidebars are useful for quick, accessible information, and they break up the density of the page.

Write with a casual, conversational tone rather than a formal tone such as textbook diction. Reader's respond to the feeling that you are having a conversation with them. Break up the length and structure of your sentences so you don?t hypnotize your readers into sleep. Sentences that are all the same length and structure tend to be a good aid for insomnia!
Good writing takes practice. It takes lots and lots of practice. Make a schedule to write at least a page a day. Read books and magazines about the process of writing, and jot down tips that jump out at you. The art of writing is a lifetime process; the more you write (and read), the better your writing will become. The better your writing becomes, the bigger your sales figures.

In an ebook that is read on the screen, be aware that you must give your reader's eye a break. You can do this by utilizing white space. In art classes, white space is usually referred to as "negative space."

Reader's eyes need to rest in the cool white oasises you create on your page. If your page is too dense, your reader will quit out of it as soon as their eyes begin to tear.

Make use of lists, both bulleted and numbered. This makes your information easy to absorb, and gives the reader a mental break from dissecting your paragraphs one after the other.

Finally, decide on an easy-to-read design. Find a font that's easy on the eyes, and stick to that font family. Using dozens of fonts will only tire your readers out before they've gotten past your introduction. Use at least one and a half line spacing, and text large enough to be read easily on the screen, but small enough so that the whole page can be seen on a computer screen. You will have to experiment with this to find the right combination.

Of course, don't forget to run a spell and grammar check. You are judged by something as minor as correct punctuation, so don?t mess up a great book by tossing out semicolons randomly, or stringing sentences together with commas. (By the way, that's called a "comma splice.")

Last of all, create an index and a bibliography.

That's it! You've written a book! Now all you have to do is publish your ebook online, and wait for download request from your website visitors.

Increasing Link Popularity To Your Web Site

Increasing Link Popularity To Your Web Site
Copyright © Thomas Neville
Web Site: Work At home Computer Based Business

Search engines are the gateway to the Internet; they are the first tool that potential customers use to find the products and services they need. This is why link popularity is so imperative. If the customers do not find your website, you have no possibilities of making any sales.

You're probably wondering what the blazes is popular about a link! Well, in a word - plenty! Link popularity refers to the ranking assigned to your website by the search engines, and it determines the ranking your page gets when keywords are entered into a search engine. So, you're probably wondering, how do I make my link popular?

Search engines are discretionary, giving status and ranking to sites that have links to their pages from related, quality sites. It's a simple formula, but a very important one. Google created the system, and now virtually all the most popular search engines employ it to rank your web pages in their indexes.

The more commonly used your keyword is, the harder it will be to achieve link popularity, but without achieving this step, it is almost certain your site will never rank highly on any search engine. But don't be discouraged; there are tried and true ways of achieving link popularity using the most competitive keywords.

There are a few things you should be aware of. The first is that just linking up with a large number of other websites will not achieve link popularity. In fact, it may have quite the opposite effect. This is particularly true when pertaining to websites that are nothing more than "link farms" - pages containing line after line of indiscriminate links. Search engines may aggressively discriminate against your website if you are associated with a link farm, so steer clear of them!

The next thing to bear in mind is the quality of the site you are linking to. Never link to a page you have reservations about your visitors seeing. The last thing you want your website to appear as is indiscriminate and cheap. Linking to sites of poor quality will only lessen your link popularity, if not completely destroy it.

So let's get to what you need to do to achieve supreme link popularity and improve your rankings to stellar status on all the popular search engines.

The first step, and the fastest way to get your foot in the door, is to get a listing in a popular directory, such as Open Directory Project and Yahoo. If your site is business-related, you will want to be listed on Yahoo, and despite the fact that it will cost you around $300 a year, it will be money well spent. If your site is
non-commercial, the listing will be free, but it will take time and follow-up to actually get it listed. Open Directory is gives you a free listing whether you are business-related or non-commercial, but be prepared to make a lot of follow-up inquiries before you see your site listed.

You are aiming to get listed in the highest level of appropriate category, and this just takes some common sense. For example, if your company ships Alpaca wool from an Alpaca farm located in the middle of Nowhere, Tiny State, do NOT submit your listing to "Retailers from Nowhere, Tiny State." BIG MISTAKE! All you have to do is look a little deeper - and submit your listing to the "Fine
Alpaca Wool" category. You will not only associate yourself with culture and quality, but you will be listed in a national category.

The next step after you have attained directory listings is to locate other quality sites that will increase your link popularity. Try to find sites that are in some way related to yours, so not only will your link popularity increase, but your customer base may also be expanded. You want to avoid your competitors and look for sites that are useful to your site's visitors. Let's look at the Alpaca Wool site example. Linking up to a site that sells knitting supplies would be helpful to your visitors, and the chances of the
knitting supply site wanting to link up to your site are also greater. By linking to a related site that will be relevant to your web site's traffic, you are increasing both of your site's business prospects - and both of your sites' link popularity.

Not all sites want to link to other sites, so you will have to do some research when you are looking for possible linking partners. Google is an excellent starting place for your search. Make sure you enter keywords that you think quality customers will also enter to find your own site. Remember, your criteria are quality, highly ranked, non-competing websites that have a links or resources page.
Go to these sites and objectively assess them. Look at the quality of the product, the graphics, and the ease of use. Then check out the other sites they are linked to, and determine if your own site would fit in with the crowd.

When you decide you have found a good prospect, you must set out to woo them. The first thing to do is to add a link on your own links page to their site. This is an essential first step; it shows good faith, and ups your chances significantly of their reciprocity. After you have added their link, you must contact the webmaster of their site. Since this is almost always done by email, you want to make sure it is immediately clear that your message is not junk
mail. This requires that you tell them right off the bat that you have added a link to their page on your site. A hook like this almost always insures the reader will read on.

Next, be sure to be flattering and let them know how much you appreciate their website. Make sure you emphasize that you have actually visited their site, and that their site is not just a random pick. Give them the address of your links page, and ask them to check out the link for themselves. It's a good idea to mention that they will not only benefit from the increased traffic your website will direct their way, but you will also increase their link
popularity. Briefly, explain why link popularity is so essential, but do this in a sentence or two so you don't sound like a professor! Finally, tell them you would greatly appreciate if they would reciprocally add a link on their own links page to your website.

Go through this process with as many appropriate sites as you can find, bearing in mind the criteria of quality and non-competitiveness. After you have emailed all relevant sites, be sure to check these website frequently to see if they have added a link to your page. Give it about a month, and if no link appears, try another charming email. Then give it another month, and if your site is still absent from their links page, it's time to remove their link from your own links page. The only time you want to pursue a link further than this is if you believe a site is crucial to your link popularity and your business needs. Just remember to keep all your communications complimentary and cordial.

Then set up a schedule to check your ranking in search engines frequently to see if your link popularity has improved. This is not achievable in the blink of an eye. It will take some time and a good deal of work. There is no way around the labor-intensive quality of improving your link popularity, which is why search engines regard it with such importance.

By the way - make sure you have a beautiful, streamlined site or you will never persuade anyone to link up to you. Be prepared to keep plugging away at this process, as long as it takes, until you achieve link popularity stardom!

Evaluating Web Site Performance

Evaluating Web Site Performance
Copyright © Thomas Neville
Web Site: Work At home Computer Based Business

Setting up a website is the very first step of an Internet marketing campaign, and the success or failure of your site depends greatly on how specifically you have defined your website goals. If you don't know what you want your site to accomplish, it will most likely fail to accomplish anything. Without goals to guide you in developing and monitoring your website, all your site will be is an online announcement that you are in business.

If you expect your site to stimulate some form of action, whether it is visitors filling out a form so a representative can contact them, or purchasing a product, there are steps you can take to insure that your website is functioning at peak efficiency. One of the first indicators of how well your site is working for you is finding out the number of visitors in a given period of time. A good
baseline measurement is a month in which you haven't been doing any unusual offline promotional activities.

However, just because hoards of people have passed through your gates does not mean your site is successful. Usually, you want those visitors to actually do something there. It is equally important to monitor the number of visitors to your site who made a purchase. This figure is called the site conversion rate, and it is an essential element of the efficacy of your website.

To find the site conversion rate, take the number of visitors per month and figure out the percentage of them that actually performed the action your site is set up for. For example, if you had 2,000 hits to your site, but only 25 of them purchased your product, your site conversion rate equals 1.25%. To get this figure, take your number of visitors and divide that figure by the number of visitors
who made a purchase. Then divide that result by 100 (25 ?00 X 100).

If your website is set-up to get visitors to fill out a form, make sure to then figure out what the difference is between your site conversion rate and your sales conversion rate. This is because not everyone who fills out your form will actually become your customer. However, whether your site is set-up to sell a service or product, or to get the visitor to fill out a form, the site conversion rate will measure the success or failure of your website whenever you make changes to the site.

You may find that you need to implement some additional marketing strategies if you find that traffic to your site is extremely low. There are several effective methods to improve the flow of traffic to your website, particularly launching a search engine optimization campaign. This campaign is targeted at increasing your position in search engine results so that consumers can find your pages faster and easier. You can either research the steps you need to take to improve your search engine rankings, or employ a search engine optimization company to do the work for you. In either case, after your have improved your search engine positions, make sure you keep on top of them by regular monitoring and adjusting of your efforts to maintain high positions.

Another factor to examine is how easy it is for a visitor to your website to accomplish the action the site is set-up for. For example, if your goal is for the visitor to fill out a form, is this form easily accessible, or does the visitor have to go through four levels to get to it? If it's too difficult to get to, the customer may just throw in the towel and move on to another site. Make sure your buttons are highly visible, and the path to your form or ordering page quickly accessible.

Finally, have a professional evaluate the copy on your website. The goal is, of course, to get your visitor to make a purchase or fill out your form. Website copy must be specifically geared to your online campaign and not just a cut and paste job from your company brochure. The right copy can make the difference between profit and loss in your online campaign.

Analyzing Website Traffic

Analyzing Website Traffic
Copyright © Thomas Neville
Web Site: Work At home Computer Based Business

Analyzing your web traffic statistics can be an invaluable tool for a number of different reasons. But before you can make full use of this tool, you need to understand how to interpret the data.

Most web hosting companies will provide you with basic web traffic information that you then have to interpret and make pertinent use of. However, the data you receive from your host company can be overwhelming if you don't understand how to apply it to your particular business and website. Let's start by examining the most basic data - the average visitors to your site on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.

These figures are the most accurate measure of your web site's activity. It would appear on the surface that the more traffic you see recorded, the better you can assume your website is doing, but this is an inaccurate perception. You must also look at the behavior of your visitors once they come to your website to accurately gauge the effectiveness of your site.

There is often a great misconception about what is commonly known as "hits" and what is really effective, quality traffic to your site. Hits simply means the number of information requests received by the server. If you think about the fact that a hit can simply equate to the number of graphics per page, you will get an idea of how overblown the concept of hits can be. For example, if your homepage has 15 graphics on it, the server records this as 15 hits,
when in reality we are talking about a single visitor checking out a single page on your site. As you can see, hits are not useful in analyzing your website traffic.

The more visitors that come to your website, the more accurate your interpretation will become. The greater the traffic is to your website, the more precise your analysis will be of overall trends in visitor behavior. The smaller the number of visitors, the more a few anomalous visitors can distort the analysis.

The aim is to use the web traffic statistics to figure out how well or how poorly your site is working for your visitors. One way to determine this is to find out how long on average your visitors spend on your site. If the time spent is relatively brief, it usually indicates an underlying problem. Then the challenge is to figure out what that problem is.

It could be that your keywords are directing the wrong type of visitors to your website, or that your graphics are confusing or intimidating, causing the visitor to exit rapidly. Use the knowledge of how much time visitors are spending on your site to pinpoint specific problems, and after you fix those problems, continue to use time spent as a gauge of how effective your fix has been.

Additionally, web traffic stats can help you determine effective and ineffective areas of your website. If you have a page that you believe is important, but visitors are exiting it rapidly, that page needs attention. You could, for example, consider improving the link to this page by making the link more noticeable and enticing, or you could improve the look of the page or the ease that your visitors can access the necessary information on that page.

If, on the other hand, you notice that visitors are spending a lot of time on pages that you think are less important, you might consider moving some of your sales copy and marketing focus to that particular page.

As you can see, these statistics will reveal vital information about the effectiveness of individual pages, and visitor habits and motivation. This is essential information to any successful Internet marketing campaign.

Your website undoubtedly has exit pages, such as a final order or contact form. This is a page you can expect your visitor to exit rapidly. However, not every visitor to your site is going to find exactly what he or she is looking for, so statistics may show you a number of different exit pages. This is normal unless you notice a exit trend on a particular page that is not intended as an exit page. In the case that a significant percentage of visitors are
exiting your website on a page not designed for that purpose, you must closely examine that particular page to discern what the problem is. Once you pinpoint potential weaknesses on that page, minor modifications in content or graphic may have a significant impact on the keeping visitors moving through your site instead of exiting at the wrong page.

After you have analyzed your visitor statistics, it's time to turn to your keywords and phrases. Notice if particular keywords are directing a specific type of visitor to your site. The more targeted the visitor - meaning that they find what they are looking for on your site, and even better, fill out your contact form or make a purchase - the more valuable that keyword is.

However, if you find a large number of visitors are being directed - or should I say misdirected - to your site by a particular keyword or phrase, that keyword demands adjustment. Keywords are vital to bringing quality visitors to your site who are ready to do business with you. Close analysis of the keywords your visitors are using to find your site will give you a vital understanding of your
visit or's needs and motivations.

Finally, if you notice that users are finding your website by typing in your company name, break open the champagne! It means you have achieved a significant level of brand recognition, and this is a sure sign of burgeoning success.

Increasing Your Search Engine Ranking

Increasing Your Search Engine Ranking
Copyright © Thomas Neville
Web Site: Work At home Computer Based Business

The methods employed to increase your search engine rankings may seem like rocket science to you, so you have probably avoided dealing with this issue. I am here to tell you - the time has come to face your website! A high search engine ranking for your website is so essential that if you have the slightest desire to actually succeed in your business, there is no way you can continue to avoid this issue.

At least 85% of people looking for goods and services on the Internet find websites through search engines such as Google, Yahoo, and MSN. The idea of optimizing your pages for high search engine rankings is to attract targeted customers to your site who will be more than likely to make a purchase. The higher your page comes up in search engine results, the greater the traffic that is directed to your website. That's what search engine optimization is about.

You can immerse yourself in all the technical information available online to figure out how to optimize your web pages to achieve higher rankings. Or you can look at a few simple items on your pages, make some small adjustments, and most likely see improved rankings quite rapidly. The first item you should examine is the title bar on your homepage.

The title bar is the colored bar at the top of the page. Look at the words that appear there when you access your home page. To increase search engine rankings, the words on your homepage's title bar should include the most important keywords or phrases, one of which would include your company name.

Then click on all your links and examine the title bars on the pages you access. Each title bar on every single page of your site should contain the most important keywords and phrases taken from the page itself. However, avoid very long strings of keywords, keeping them to six words or less. Avoid repeating keywords more than once in the title bars, and make sure that identical words are not next to each other.

The next item to put under your microscope is your website content. Search engines generally list sites that contain quality content rather than scintillating graphics. The text on your site must contain the most important keywords - the words that potential customers will be typing into search engines to find your site.

Aim to have around 250 words on each page, but if this is not desirable due to your design, aim for at least 100 carefully chosen words. If you want to achieve a high ranking on search engines, this text is essential. However, the search engines must be able to read the text, meaning that the text must be in HTML and not graphic format.

To find out if your text is in HTML format, take your cursor and try to highlight a word or two. If you are able to do this, the text is HTML. If the text will not highlight, it is probably in graphic form. In this case, ask your webmaster to change the text into HTML format in order to increase your search engine rankings.

Next we come to what is called meta tags. I know this sounds like something out of science fiction, but it is really just simple code. Many people believe that meta tags are the key to high search engine rankings, but in reality, they only have a limited effect. Still, it's worth adding them in the event that a search engine will use meta tags in their ranking formula.

To find out if your page is set up with meta tags, you must access the code. To do this, click the "view" button on the browser menu bar, and select "source." This will pull up a window revealing the underlying code that created the page. If there are meta tags, they usually appear near the top of the window. For example, a meta tag would read: meta name="keywords" content=. If you do not find code that reads like this, ask your webmaster to put them in. This
may not do much for your search engine rankings, but any little boost helps.

Lastly, we come to the issue of link popularity. This is a factor that is extremely important in terms of search engine rankings. Almost all search engines use link popularity to rank your website. Link popularity is based on the quality of the sites you have linked to from your links page.

If you type in "free link popularity check" in a popular search engine, the search engine will then show you what sites are linked to your site. In the case that there aren't many sites linked up to yours, or that the sites that are linked up have low search engine rankings, consider launching a link popularity campaign. essentially, this entails contacting quality sites and requesting that they exchange links with your site. Of course, this requires checking out the rankings of the websites you want to link up with. Linking to popular, quality sites not only boosts your search engine ranking, but it also directs more quality traffic to your website.

Search engine rankings are extremely important for a successful Internet marketing campaign. Before you go out and hire a search engine optimization company, try taking some of the simple steps listed above, and see if you can't boost your rankings yourself. Don't ever ignore this all-important factor in Internet marketing. Remember, the higher your search engine ranking, the more quality customers will be directed your way.

Paid URL Inclusion

Paid URL Inclusion
Copyright © Thomas Neville
Web Site: Work At home Computer Based Business

There are many ways to promote your website and one of the most efficient ways is to use search engines. Search engines are the first stop for most people trying to find information, services, and products online. Because of this, it is essential that your website appears quickly in search results.

The Internet contains numerous search engines, some of which offer what is known as "paid inclusion." This means that you pay the specific search engine an annual fee for your web page to be included in their index.

Of course, every search engine already has an automated program commonly called a "spider" that indexes all the web pages it locates online, and it does this for free. So whether you pay or not, your web page will eventually be indexed by all Internet search engines, as long as the spider can follow a link to your page. The major issue is, then, how quickly your page is indexed.

A search engine that offers a paid URL inclusion uses an extra spider that is programmed to index the particular pages that have been paid for. The difference between the spider that indexes pages for free and the spider that indexes only pages for a fee is speed. If you have paid for inclusion, the additional search engine spider will index your page immediately.

The debate over paid URL inclusion centers around the annual fee. Since the regular spider of these search engines would eventually get around to indexing your web page anyway, why is a renewal fee necessary? The fee is necessary to keep your pages in the search engine's index. If you go the route of paid inclusion, you should be aware that at the end of the pay period, on some search engines,
your page will be removed from their index for a certain amount of time.

It's easy to get confused about whether you would benefit from paid inclusion since the spider of any search engine will eventually index your page without the additional cost. There are both advantages and disadvantages to paid URL inclusion, and it is only by weighing your pros and cons that you will be able to decide whether to spring for the extra cash or not.

The advantages are obvious: rapid inclusion and rapid re-indexing. Paid inclusion means that your pages will be indexed quickly and added to search results in a very short time after you have paid the fee. The time difference between when the regular spider will index your pages and when the paid spider will is a matter of months. The spider for paid inclusion usually indexes your pages in a day or two. Be aware that if you have no incoming links to your
pages, the regular spider will never locate them at all.

Additionally, paid inclusion spiders will go back to your pages often, sometimes even daily. The advantage of this is that you can update your pages constantly to improve the ranking in which they appear in search engines, and the paid URL inclusion spider will show that result in a matter of days.

First and foremost, the disadvantage is the cost. For a ten page website, the costs of paid URL inclusion range from $170 for Fast/Lycos to $600 for Altavista, and you have to pay each engine their annual fee. How relevant the cost factor is will depend on your company.

Another, and perhaps more important, disadvantage is the limited reach of paid URL inclusions. The largest search engines, Google, Yahoo, and AOL, do not offer paid URL inclusion. That means that the search engines you choose to pay an inclusion fee will amount to a small fraction of the traffic to your site on a daily basis.

Google usually updates its index every month, and there is no way you can speed up this process. You will have to wait for the Google spider to index your new pages no matter how many other search engines you have paid to update their index daily. Be aware that it is only after Google updates their index that your pages will show up in Google, Yahoo, or AOL results.

One way to figure out whether paid URL inclusion is a good deal for your company is to consider some common factors. First, find out if search engines have already indexed your pages. To do this, you may have to enter a number of different keywords, but the quickest way to find out is to enter your URL address in quotes. If your pages appear when you enter the URL address but do not appear when you enter keywords, using paid inclusion will not be beneficial. This
is because your pages have already been indexed and ranked by the regular spider. If this is the case, your money would be better spent by updating your pages to improve your ranking in search results. Once you accomplish this, you can then consider using paid inclusion if you want to speed up the time it will take for the regular spider to revisit your pages.

The most important factor in deciding whether to use paid URL inclusion is to decide if it's a good investment. To figure this out, you have to look at the overall picture: what kind of product or service are you selling and how much traffic are you dependent on to see a profit?

If your company sells an inexpensive product that requires a large volume of traffic to your site, paid inclusion may not be the best investment for you; the biggest search engines do not offer it, and they are the engines that will bring you the majority of hits. On the other hand, if you have a business that offers an expensive service or product and requires a certain quality of traffic to your site, a paid URL inclusion is most likely an excellent investment.

Another factor is whether or not your pages are updated frequently. If the content changes on a daily or weekly basis, paid inclusion will insure that your new pages are indexed often and quickly. The new content is indexed by the paid spider and then appears when new relevant keywords are entered in the search engines. Using paid inclusion in this case will guarantee that your pages are being indexed in a timely manner.

You should also base your decision on whether or not your pages are dynamically generated. These types of pages are often difficult for regular spiders to locate and index. Paying to include the most important pages of a dynamically generated website will insure that the paid spider will index them.

Sometimes a regular spider will drop pages from its search engine, although these pages usually reappear in a few months. There are a number of reasons why this can happen, but by using paid URL inclusion, you will avoid the possibility. Paid URL inclusion guarantees that your pages are indexed, and if they are inadvertently dropped, the search engine will be on the lookout to locate them immediately.

As you can see, there are numerous factors to consider when it comes to paid URL inclusion. It can be a valuable investment depending on your situation. Evaluate your business needs and your website to determine if paid URL inclusion is a wise investment for your business goals.

Search Engine Keywords Selections That Are Powerful

Search Engine Keywords Selections That Are Powerful
Copyright © Thomas Neville
Web Site: Work At home Computer Based Business

This is what I call a Hero Product. It is Internet Marketing Software that I am proud to recommend to you. As you read this blog, remember to check out this SEO Software that I would recommend...

Search engines are the vehicles that drive potential customers to your websites. But in order for visitors to reach their destination - your website - you need to provide them with specific and effective signs that will direct them right to your site. You do this by creating carefully chosen keywords.

Think of the right keywords as the Open Sesame! of the Internet. Find the exactly right words or phrases, and presto! hoards of traffic will be pulling up to your front door. But if your keywords are too general or too over-used, the possibility of visitors actually making it all the way to your site - or of seeing any real profits from the visitors that do arrive - decreases dramatically.

Your keywords serve as the foundation of your marketing strategy. If they are not chosen with great precision, no matter how aggressive your marketing campaign may be, the right people may never get the chance to find out about it. So your first step in plotting your strategy is to gather and evaluate keywords and phrases.

You probably think you already know EXACTLY the right words for your search phrases. Unfortunately, if you haven't followed certain specific steps, you are probably WRONG. It's hard to be objective when you are right in the center of your business network, which is the reason that you may not be able to choose the most efficient keywords from the inside. You need to be able to think like your customers. And since you are a business owner and not the consumer, your best bet is to go directly to the source.

Instead of plunging in and scribbling down a list of potential search words and phrases yourself, ask for words from as many potential customers as you can. You will most likely find out that your understanding of your business and your customers' understanding is significantly different.

The consumer is an invaluable resource. You will find the words you accumulate from them are words and phrases you probably never would have considered from deep inside the trenches of your business.

Only after you have gathered as many words and phrases from outside resources should you add your own keyword to the list. Once you have this list in hand, you are ready for the next step: evaluation.

The aim of evaluation is to narrow down your list to a small number of words and phrases that will direct the highest number of quality visitors to your website. By "quality visitors" I mean those consumers who are most likely to make a purchase rather than just cruise around your site and take off for greener pastures. In evaluating the effectiveness of keywords, bear in mind three elements:

popularity, specificity, and motivation.

Popularity is the easiest to evaluate because it is an objective quality. The more popular your keyword is, the
more likely the chances are that it will be typed into a search engine which will then bring up your URL.

You can now purchase software that will rate the popularity of keywords and phrases by giving words a number rating based on real search engine activity. Software such as WordTracker will even suggest variations of your words and phrases. The higher the number this software assigns to a given keyword, the more traffic you can logically expect to be directed to your site. The only fallacy with this concept is the more popular the keyword is, the greater the
search engine position you will need to obtain. If you are down at the bottom of the search results, the consumer will probably never scroll down to find you.

Popularity isn't enough to declare a keyword a good choice. You must move on to the next criteria, which is
specificity. The more specific your keyword is, the greater the likelihood that the consumer who is ready to purchase your goods or services will find you.

Let's look at a hypothetical example. Imagine that you have obtained popularity rankings for the keyword "automobile companies." However, you company specializes in bodywork only. The keyword "automobile body shops" would rank lower on the popularity scale than "automobile companies," but it would nevertheless serve you much better. Instead of getting a slew of people interested in everything from buying a car to changing their oil filters, you will get only those consumers with trashed front ends or crumpled
fenders being directed to your site. In other words, consumers ready to buy your services are the ones who will immediately find you. Not only that, but the greater the specificity of your keyword is, the less competition you will face.

The third factor is consumer motivation. Once again, this requires putting yourself inside the mind of the customer rather than the seller to figure out what motivation prompts a person looking for a service or product to type in a particular word or phrase. Let's look at another example, such as a consumer who is searching for a job as an IT manager in a new city. If you have to choose between "Seattle job listings" and "Seattle IT recruiters" which do you think will benefit the consumer more? if you were looking for this type of specific job, which keyword would you type in? The second one, of course! Using the second keyword targets people who have decided on their career, have the necessary experience, and are ready to enlist you as their recruiter, rather than someone just out of school who is casually trying to figure out what to do with his or her life in between beer parties. You want to find people who are ready to act or make a purchase, and this requires subtle tinkering of your keywords until your find the most specific and directly targeted phrases to bring the most motivated traffic to you site.

Once you have chosen your keywords, your work is not done. You must continually evaluate performance across a variety of search engines, bearing in mind that times and trends change, as does popular lingo. You cannot rely on your log traffic analysis alone because it will not tell you how many of your visitors actually made a purchase.

Luckily, some new tools have been invented to help you judge the effectiveness of your keywords in individual search engines. There is now software available that analyzes consumer behavior in relation to consumer traffic. This allows you to discern which keywords are bringing you the most valuable customers.

This is an essential concept: numbers alone do not make a good keyword; profits per visitor do. You need to find keywords that direct consumers to your site who actually buy your product, fill out your forms, or download your product. This is the most important factor in evaluating the efficacy of a keyword or phrase, and should be the sword you wield when discarding and replacing ineffective or inefficient keywords with keywords that bring in better profits.

Ongoing analysis of tested keywords is the formula for search engine success. This may sound like a lot of work - and it is! But the amount of informed effort you put into your keyword campaign is what will ultimately generate your business' rewards.

This is what I call a Hero Product because I am proud to recommend it to you. So check out this SEO Software I would recommend to you.

How Monitoring Search Engine Positions Pays Off

How Monitoring Search Engine Positions Pays Off
Copyright © Thomas Neville
Web Site: Work At home Computer Based Business

Since search engines are the first stop for people on the Internet looking for goods or services, the position your website appears in search results is an important factor. If your URL shows up far down the results list, the chances of the consumer never finding you increase incrementally. Once you achieve a high search engine position, it is essential that you make sure you maintain the high ranking you have worked so hard to achieve.

This means you must come up with a strategy to monitor your search engines positions. This strategy is crucial to the success of any marketing campaign. Think of your search engine positions as your online portfolio. Would you let your stock portfolio be ruled by chance and market fluctuations, or would you keep close tabs on your stocks so you could buy and sell when the time is right? This is the way you must consider your search engines positions.

Be aware that at first, after you have launched your search engine campaign and done all the right things to increase your rankings, you will most likely see a continual upward climb. What you need to be on the lookout for is the moment that upward climb reaches a plateau. When this happens, your search engine position campaign moves into stage two, the monitoring and protecting stage.

In stage two, do not be concerned about the short-term fluctuations in your positions. These are similar to the subtle rising and falling of stocks in a portfolio. Short-term movement is an integral part of the whole process. It's the long-term changes that you must watch for and prepare to act on immediately.

Analyzing the long-term trends of search engines positions is imperative. The way in which search engines rank websites may change at the drop of hat. If you are unaware of these changes - many of which are subtle yet can be deadly to your ranking - your position may drop to the bottom of the list before you can get your bearings. To prevent this kind of precipitous drop, you must create a system to monitor your positions on a monthly basis. Devise
a chart to keep tabs on your top ranking positions or your top pages, and make sure to watch "the market" closely.

Each search engine uses a formula to compute website rankings. When a search engine changes this formula in any way, it may raise or lower your ranking. Some search engines use a number of different formulas, rotating them so that a formula doesn't become overused or outdated. Depending on which formula is being applied, your search engine position may suddenly drop or rise in rank
significantly. Therefore, you must check your positions frequently in order to catch when a search engine changes formulas and what effect it has on your positions.

You must also deal with your competition - a crucial factor you must always be vigilant about. Your competitor's position may suddenly rise, automatically lowering your position. Or their position may drop, pushing your position higher. Each month, expect position changes due to the continual changes that are occurring in your competitor's position, and be prepared to adjust your marketing strategy to compensate for decreased rankings. Monitoring these fluctuations will also give you vital information about how
to improve your website to increase your position in search
results.

Of course, you must discern what the most popular search engines are in order for your monitoring efforts to be effective. Right now, there are ten popular search engines that direct most of Internet traffic to your sites. The challenge you face is that these top ten may change from month to month.

This means that your must not only monitor your search engine positions, but you must also keep track of the ranking popularity of the search engines you are monitoring. Find out which search engines people use most frequently every month and be sure to live in the present!

People are fickle about their favorite search engines, and it takes constant vigilance to follow their dalliances. The search engines they loved when you first launched your campaign may be old news in the next few months. You must adjust your list of engines according to the whims of the Internet users. Check out http://www.searchenginewatch.com/reports/netratings.html for a current list of website favorites.

Another factor to monitor carefully is a sudden drop of your positions in all search engines. This is not the same as monthly fluctuations - this is a neon red warning sign! It could mean a number of different things.

It all your search engine positions have plummeted, it may indicate that search engines spiders - those sneaky programs that seek out your site and rank their positions - have found some type of problem with your website. If you have recently changed the code, for instance, the spider may become utterly confused and consequently drop your positions disastrously. If a spider creeps up on your website when it is down for adjustments or changes, you may actually disappear from a search engine index entirely. Or
a search engine may drastically change its formula, and suddenly all of your website come up as irrelevant. If that search engine is a current favorite, it may create a domino effect, causing all of your position to drop in all search engines.

Some search engines rely on the results from other search engines, and it is vital that you know which engines these are and keep track of all the engines they influence. The biggest problem here is that search engines will sometimes change affiliations, and this can create a major shift in the geography of the Internet. For example, recently Yahoo decided to display only results gleaned from Google. So you must not only monitor your own positions, but you must keep abreast of seismic shifts in the landscape of the Internet as a whole.

Finally, pay attention to your keywords. Keywords are the foundation bricks of the entire search engine system, and they demand individual scrutiny in your monitoring efforts. If you have found that a number of your positions have plummeted, it may mean that a page of your website has become invisible or inaccessible to search engine spiders. Or the competition for that particular keyword or phrase has recently rocketed into outer space. In either case, you must act quickly and efficiently to regain lost ground.

Your search engine marketing campaign is an investment. If costs you time and money on a continual basis. Protect this investment as diligently as you would your financial portfolio. In the same way, track your positions from an objective perspective, and monitor your positions on a regular basis. Make sure your time and effort reap rewards by keeping your eye on the big picture - your long-term
marketing campaign.

Effectively Using Overture/Yahoo To Get Website Visitors

Effectively Using Overture/Yahoo To Get Website Visitors
Copyright © Thomas Neville
Web Site: Work At home Computer Based Business

Overture or now known as Yahoo because of Yahoo’s takeover, was the original inventor of the use of the P4P or Pay for Performance. Overture saw that the internet was fast becoming the easiest and most convenient way to shop, and advertising was going to hit at an all time high because of the many businesses in the arena.

To get a person to go to a site than others, it needs to be very visible. Providing ads that could direct potential consumers and costumers to their site would allow them to have an increase in traffic as well as sales. Yahoo provides a service that can put a site or company’s ad in their sites that can be shown when certain keywords are inputted.

Yahoo offers a chance for any company to increase their traffic by using their services. With more people being aware of your site, there would be more traffic and visitors to your site given the chance to view your pages as well as your products. With even a small percentage of successful sales, with a high traffic volume this could still be a substantial figure for your company.

Getting a consistent substantial flow of website visitors is every company’s goal. Many methods are devised and utilized to ensure that there would be more people to boost the sales and to be aware of the existence of such a product or service. Website visitors are potentially the life blood of your internet based business.

Yahoo/Overture utilizes the same principle as Google’s Adwords. In fact, they are very similar to each other that they use keyword and keyword phrase searches and to determine which ads to show per search. When a person types in a keyword or keyword phrase to search for anything, the search engines gives out the results in a page. Then at the right side of the page, you will see selected ads that have paid for their ads to be viewed with certain keywords and keyword phrases searched.

For example, Lets say you run a car parts retail/wholesale site. You choose keywords that can prompt or trigger your ads to be shown in the page when a keyword is searched. When a search engine user types in Honda Accord, your ad may come up if you have designated that as one of your keywords. You don’t need to fully optimize your site with Search Engine Optimization methods and techniques.

While some labor so hard to make their site one of the high ranking sites per keyword search, you get the chance to be on the top of the list or at least in the first page of a search result increasing your chance to be clicked on. With that, you drive traffic and website visitors to your site a lot faster.

You will have to pony up some cash when using this service though. There are different ways Yahoo/Overture will charge you. It may be in the number of Keywords or Keyword phrases your ad uses or in the many times your ad is clicked on. Others offer many other services like having your ad show up not only in the search engine pages but also with some third party sites.

Third party sites support ads that have the same theme or niche as them. With more areas your ad is shown, you increase the chances of people knowing about your site or product. With more website visitors you increase the sales of your site which makes your investment with your ads a wise one.

With so many competitions in the internet based businesses, it is necessary to take a huge leap forward from the pack by advertising. Yahoo/Overture will be a great place to start. Many have utilized their services and have reaped the rewards of this decision. It’s a marketing strategy that will increase your website visitors as well as increase your sales resulting to profit.

It takes money to make money, while there are some methods that are basically low cost or free, using a marketing service such as what Yahoo/Overture offers will provide results faster and on a larger scale. Many businesses have learned this the hard way, don’t be counted with them.

Effective and Efficient Pay-Per-Click Ads

Effective and Efficient Pay-Per-Click Ads
Copyright © Thomas Neville
Web Site: Work At home Computer Based Business

Advertising your services or products on the Internet is both extremely effective and extremely competitive. There are several ways to go about attracting traffic to your website; Pay-Per-Click is one of the options you can choose from, along with developing an SEO, or search engine optimization campaign. Both pay-per-click and SEO are targeted to get your website placed as close to the top of
search engine results as possible. One of the differences is that it takes minutes to set up a pay-per-click campaign versus months for a good SEO campaign.

Pay-Per-Click is a simple type of paid advertising that most search engines, including some of the largest ones, now offer. It requires a bid for a "per-click" basis, which translates to your company paying the bid amount every time the search engine directs a visitor to your site. There is the added bonus that when a per-click site sends your website traffic, your site often appears in the results of other prevalent search engines.

As with all marketing campaigns, there are advantages and disadvantages. If you understand the process and monitor your pay-per-click campaign frequently, it can be very effective. One of the greatest advantages is that you never have to tweak your web pages to change your position in search engine results, as you must do in a typical SEO campaign. What you do have to do in a pay-per-click
campaign is pay a fee.

Another advantage is the simplicity of the pay-per-click process. You just bid and you're up and running. It doesn't demand any specific technical knowledge, though the more you know about search engines and keywords, the easier - and more effective - the process will be.

The downside is that pay-per-click is essentially a bidding war. A higher bid than yours will lower your position on search engine results. This means that you will have to raise your bid to regain your position - which can obviously become quite expensive, especially if you are bidding on a popular keyword.

In order to determine if pay-per-click is a cost effective form of marketing for your business, you must do some computing to figure out how much each visitor to your site is worth. You can compute this value by dividing the profit you make on your website over a given period of time by the total number of visitors for that same time period. For example, if your site made $5,000 in profits and there were 2,5000 hits, each visitor would be theoretically worth 50
cents. The basic formula is profits divided by visitors.

The figure of 50 cents per visitor is the point at which your business breaks even. The idea, of course, is to show a profit, not to merely cover your costs. Therefore, you are aiming at a figure less than 50 cents per click.

Be aware that the most popular keywords often cost considerably more than 50 cents a click. The only way around this is to bid less for these phrases or you will be paying too much for each individual hit.

The key (pun intended) to success is to learn everything you can about search engine keyword research. The good news is there isn't a limit to the amount of keywords you can add to your bid because additional keywords do not add additional cost. This translates into a lot less hassle for you because there is no need to optimize your site to index a particular set of keywords.

Obviously, some keywords are much more effective than others are, but they will not cost you anything except time to set-up your account in your pay-per-click bid. Of the popular search engines that offer pay-per-click, one called Overture provides an online tool that will give you the data on how often particular keywords are entered into their search engine. They also offer suggestions for keywords after you enter a description of your site.

In pay-per-click, this written description is crucial. You must understand that the object of your description is not to generally attract visitors, but to be as specific as possible so that only those visitors who are likely to buy your service or product go to your site. You must use expert marketing copy to guarantee that your description is both precise and enticing to attract the most ideal candidates to your site. This description is your most
powerful tool to insure that your bid is profitable.

Another essential element of pay-per-click advertising is that you constantly monitor your bid. It is very important that you bear in mind that the results of the top search engines providing pay-per-click advertising, which are Overture and Adwords Select, usually appear on other popular search engines. Because of this, the competition for top ranking is intense, and very often you will find
that the bidding price balloons too high for pay-per-click to yield a profit.

If this happens, it is advisable to withdraw your bid on that particular keyword and try another one. Remember: when you pay too much per click to make a profit, you are in essence losing the bidding war.

Since losing is not acceptable, you must have a plan in place to closely track the effectiveness of your keyword. It is advisable to monitor your keywords on at least a monthly basis.

Not only is careful monitoring important, but the analysis of visitor behavior can produce invaluable knowledge about consumer motivation, habits, and trends. Expert monitoring and consumer analysis is essential to your overall business needs, and will also insure that your pay-per-click campaign is a success.

3 Things All Affiliate Marketers Need To Survive Online

3 Things All Affiliate Marketers Need To Survive Online
Copyright © Thomas Neville
Web Site: Work At home Computer Based Business

Every affiliate marketer is always looking for the successful market that gives the biggest paycheck. Sometimes they think it is a magic formula that is readily available for them. Actually, it is more complicated than that. It is just good marketing practices that have been proven over years of hard work and dedication.
There are tactics that have worked before with online marketing and is continuing to work in the online affiliate marketing world of today. With these top three marketing tips, you will be able to able to increase your sales and survive in the affiliate marketing online.

What are these three tactics?

1. Using unique web pages to promote each separate product you are marketing. Do not lump all of it together just to save some money on web hosting. It is best to have a site focusing on each and every product and nothing more.

Always include product reviews on the website so visitors will have an initial understanding on what the product can do to those who buys them. Also include testimonials from users who have already tried the product. Be sure that these customers are more than willing to allow you to use their names and photos on the site of the specific product you are marketing.

You can also write articles highlighting the uses of the product and include them on the website as an additional page. Make the pages attractive compelling and include calls to act on the information. Each headline should attract the readers to try and read more, even contact you. Highlight your special points. This will help your readers to learn what the page is about and will want to find out more.

2. Offer free reports to your readers. If possible position them at the very top side of your page so it they simply cannot be missed. Try to create autoresponder messages that will be mailed to those who input their personal information into your sign up box. According to research, a sale is closed usually on the seventh contact with a prospect.

Only two things can possibly happen with the web page alone: closed sale or the prospect leaving the page and never return again. By placing useful information into their inboxes at certain specified period, you will remind them of the product they thought they want later and will find out that the sale is closed. Be sure that the content is directed toward specific reasons to buy the product. Do not make it sound like a sales pitch.

Focus on important points like how your product can make life and things easier and more enjoyable. Include compelling subject lines in the email. As much as possible, avoid using the word “free” because there are still older spam filters that dumps those kind of contents into the junk before even anyone reading them first. Convince those who signed up for your free reports that they will be missing something big if they do not avail of your products and services.

3. Get the kind of traffic that is targeted to your product. Just think, if the person who visited your website has no interest whatsoever in what you are offering, they will be among those who move on and never come back. Write articles for publication in e-zines and e-reports. This way you can locate publications that is focusing on your target customers and what you have put up might just grab their interest.

Try to write a minimum of 2 articles per week, with at least 300-600 words in length. By continuously writing and maintaining these articles you can generate as many as 100 targeted readers to your site in a day.
Always remember that only 1 out of 100 people are likely to buy your product or get your services. If you can generate as much as 1,000 targeted hits for your website in a day, that means you can made 10 sales based on the average statistic.

The tactics given above does not really sound very difficult to do, if you think about it. It just requires a little time and an action plan on your part.

Try to use these tips for several affiliate marketing programs. You can end maintaining a good source of income and surviving in this business that not all marketers can do.
Besides, think of the huge paychecks you will be receiving…

If you want to know more about the definitions of an entrepreneur, you can easily search for the meaning of the word in popular search engines like Google and Yahoo. By using the power of the internet, you can find a lot of definitions for you to understand the word much better. There are many resources to find online; all it takes is diligent research.

Being an entrepreneur is an exciting and challenging task. If you have the guts, the capital, the right inner passion, appropriate qualities, and skills, don’t hesitate to introduce something new to the market.

How To Start Your eBay Business

How To Start Your eBay Business
Copyright © Thomas Neville
Web Site: Work At home Computer Based Business

One of the easiest and profitable ways to get off the ground with your own home based business is to start with an eBay account and a plan to start making money. An eBay business takes little to no start up capital and can wind up being as profitable and successful as the most prominent independent companies. It takes research, determination, and skill, but if you have these tools and a desire to learn, than you can make a success out of your eBay business.

Many businesses on eBay started off as little more than people seeing others around them selling off their unwanted merchandise, oftentimes for better prices than they would get in the classified section of their local paper. This is the way many eBay fortunes have begun. Simply look around your apartment or house and wonder at all the junk you have accumulated over the years. What is collecting dust today could be making you money tomorrow. Research a bit (which is as easy as browsing eBay for sold items) and see what you might be likely to get for your old, unwanted stuff. If the prices seem worth it to you, go ahead and start selling. At the very least, you’ll get your feet wet and see if eBay selling is something you might be interested in pursuing on a grander scale.

The next thing you’ll want to do is some broader research into the eBay world. First, make a list of about ten items you might want to sell on the auction giant. Then research these items and see how the competition is. It is possible to compete with established eBay companies, but this can be difficult for the fledgling start up. It would be far better to find a niche that seems to be mostly ignored, and target that base. It can even be a subset of a more popular and competitive market. Just by more specifically targeting the base, you can have a successful business on eBay.

Another way to make money on eBay, with almost no need for up front capital, is by selling informational e-Books. There is an entire section on eBay dedicated to these books. Surely you know how to do something better than anyone else you know. If not, research is your friend. If you can write, then you have all the tools necessary to create one of these powerful money making informational e-Books. It costs nothing, and you can sell it for any price you wish. The result, minus insertion fees, is pure profit.

Regardless of what you finally decide to sell, you will have to provide a decent product for a competitive price. Just like in the rest of the world (perhaps even more so), eBay is strictly run by the law of supply and demand. There is too much competition online to think you will make a success of your eBay business with anything less than full dedication and the perseverance needed to make any small company work in the long run.

Plans For A Home Business Should Be Kept Simple

Plans For A Home Business Should Be Kept Simple
Copyright © Thomas Neville
Web Site: Work At home Computer Based Business

Businesses can carry complications within the internal workings. Because of this you should keep plans for a home business as simple as possible. Choose a business that is not overly complex. Choosing a business area that you already have knowledge or skills in. Taking a hobby or past time and creating a home business from that is one easy way to begin on the path to a simple home business. An example of this is a person who knits, can knit hats, gloves, scarves and so on and sell those items for a profit. Likely this person already has materials, tools and other business needs on hand. This is keeping your home business simple and easy.

On Hand Equipment
As in the example above you should try to use tools and other items that you already have on hand. Computers, phone lines, copiers, fax machines, sewing machines, childcare equipment and so on. Take a look around your home for inspiration. In the time that it takes for you to do a walk through of your home you may find this is all of the time it will take to know which direction you will go to pursue your home business. By doing so you are already calculating what items you need to buy and how much funding it may require to do so. Completing two tasks at one time is keeping business simple.

Prepared Workspace
Using a workspace that is readily available for you to begin working in is another way to keep your home business easy. A home office can be used for data entry positions or accounting services. A basement or garage can be used to perform woodworking or pottery sculpting. Your living room can be used to relaxingly knit clothing or your sewing room for quilting sellable items. Using a space that is already prepared for your business can shave off preparation time and save money as well.

Recap On Guides To Keeping Home Business Simple
* Use skills, hobbies and personal knowledge to begin your business planning around.
* Use tool, resources and equipment that are already in your possession to apply towards your business.
* Use a workspace that is already suited to your business needs, such as a home office, garage or basement.

Overall Reasoning Behind Simple Planning
Using any and everything that you already have is the best way to keep a home business simple. There are already areas of concern such as finances, marketing and advertising that you will be spending time and effort to correct. This allows you to focus on the areas that truly need it instead of focusing on every little area of concern that pops up. This also allows you to keep time open for personal time. In order to allow you the best possible chance for success while you tend to be busy with business issues than you do not get to enjoy the work at home experience. You can even keep in mind an acronym of the word easy. E-every, A-available, R-resource, Y-you have.

The Truth about Multilevel Marketing

The Truth about Multilevel Marketing
Copyright © Thomas Neville
Web Site: Work At home Computer Based Business

Multilevel marketing exists mainly to help companies recruit more sales people for their affiliate marketing programs. While you may profit from persuading people to join, the profits may be few and far in between. This is because many people are not interested in joining an affiliate program or they don't have to time because there have another job. If you want to recruit others, then you should be able to prove that the company is worth working for by working with them for a while to see how much you can earn.

Recruiting others can be profitable if the company is well known in certain markets, people are excited to work for them, and you have a lot of friends and family members who are interested in signing up. Depending on your commission for recruitment, you should continue your other affiliate marketing efforts so you can make a profit. If you don't see an increase in recruiting after spending time and money advertising, then you should stop recruiting altogether. You could be spending that time promoting the company and earning commissions. Keep in mind what your goals are and stick to them.

Multilevel marketing is only effective when the company is well known. Start ups will have a much more difficult time finding people unless they are willing to pay larger commissions. If you want to take a gamble by promoting a new company online, the payoffs can be very good. On the other hand, they may be very bad as well. As with any online company, research the company, the products, and their marketing efforts so far in order to find out if they are worth your time. To be successful in affiliate marketing, you have to spend time researching markets, posting ads, and using other marketing methods, so be sure to find products and companies that are going to be profitable.

Considering how competitive Internet marketing can be, do you want to increase your competition in terms of the number of ads that potential clients could click on? When you recruit people, you are increasing your competition. Even if they advertise to another marketing group, you could still lose sales. Before recruiting others, take a look at how many markets will be profitable for the company and see who is advertising there already. Saturated markets mean fewer commissions.

The final thing to consider when recruiting others is how much you will be getting for doing this. Because there are many other affiliate marketing programs out there, it may be more profitable to spend your time marketing a new product or company. Internet marketers who are successful usually work for two or more affiliate programs. While some may create websites for each product, others have one site that sells items that are similar. You should choose which method is the best for you early on so you can devote your time and effort to making a profit instead of deciding when to build a new website or if you should add a new product to an existing website.

Your eBay Business

Your eBay Business

Internet Marketing At Its Best

Internet Marketing At Its Best
Copyright © Thomas Neville
Web Site: Work At home Computer Based Business

With the continued growth of the computer age, there is a whole new way of marketing a business. Especially for businesses who perform most of their transactions online. When reaching for online customers, internet marketing becomes the main target for your marketing efforts as it will attract the customers in your demographic – online users.

There are two distinct styles for online marketing, one is business marketing, the other is website marketing. With web site marketing the goal is to have people searching for particular services or products find your web site while conducting an online search through the major search engines. There are many facets involved in web site marketing and once a business is able to get them all clicking together, there is a good chance they will experience a major influx of new visitors to their web site.

One the other side are businesses that heavily promote their availability aimed at the internet users more so than the search engines. Buying internet advertisements, sending out emails and other promotional marketing materials that are designed to bring visitors to their online web sites, are just a few of the online marketing strategies being used today.

One of the things to remember with online marketing is to consider your home page as a billboard along the side of the road. If there is little traffic along the road, there will be few people who will see your billboard so your efforts should be focused on getting people on the right road. Looking at it from another perspective, there may be over a thousand people selling a certain brand of personal care items and they all have a web site, many provided free when they signed up and they all look alike and have the same enhancements.

If a person searches for the brand by name, there is no telling whose web site is going to pop up in the search results. If you own one of these thousands of sites, specific marketing will need to be done to guide that potential traffic to the site you own. To do this you can use pay-per-click advertising that you pay for based on the number of visitors who click through to your site.

Affiliate marketing is also a popular method of bringing visitors to your site. As a business, you agree to pay a certain percentage or dollar amount of a sale to another site, an affiliate, who drives the traffic to you. Essentially, you are gaining free advertising and only pay for it if your site makes a sale.

Financial Freedom Christian comes from the belief that God can aid you greatly in taking care of the financial issues in your life.
There are countless resources available for those seeking Financial Freedom Christian information. Typically, Financial Freedom Christian living calls for you to make wise choices with your money based on the word of the Lord.

Of course, as it is a business, some Financial Freedom Christian counseling places will charge for their in depth services. However, there are many online websites that can offer you financial advice for Christians at no charge at all.
Christians do not believe that God wants his people to suffer or live under financial hardships. They point to places in the Bible where it is said to explain ways in which the Lord wants us to live in a way that is smart with our money and free of the bonds of debt.
This is due in part to the fact that the more you worry about money, the more stressed you are, the worse decisions you make and it takes a lot of your focus off of the Lord where it should be at all times.
So, if you get control over your finances working as a Christian, you will be able to put your thoughts back on God.
If you have a problem with credit card debt and it is getting you down, there are Christian places that can offer you advice on this overwhelming issue too.
You will be taught for example such useful advice as stopping yourself from making purchases just because you feel like buying something. To eliminate all but one of your credit cards to prevent yourself from being able to spend more than you should.
You should also make sure that you carefully go over all of your credit card statements to check for hidden costs or purchases that you may not have made. Last but certainly not least is learning to live on what you can afford and not more than that.
These are just a few of the tips available to you said in a loving and Christian way for free. Browsing sites that are dedicated to Financial Freedom for Christians will allow you to read more information than you could have ever imagined.
In fact, unless for some reason you really do not want to be rid of the debt and overwhelming financial hardships in your life, if you follow Christian financial freedom tips, you should be debt free and living well within your means of course in virtually no time at all.
Think of it this way, you did not get into debt overnight, nor will you get out of debt so quickly. However, with some hard work, prayer and belief in the Lord you will be living a better life with your finances in a more secure position soon.

Practical Financial Freedom Business Advice

Practical Financial Freedom Business Advice
Copyright © Thomas Neville
Web Site: Work At home Computer Based Business

If you want to achieve financial freedom, business start-up and operation advice is made available. A large portion of tips and advice for achieving financial freedom is offered on website pages and in downloadable e-books.

In fact, the Internet has become quality materials made available to help individuals with budgeting and saving as well as investing and planning. This information has often been given away for free, but sometimes payment is required to receive it.

Other resources regarding financial freedom and business are included in newsletters. Sometimes these publications are sent via postal mail. However, they usually are send by way of e-mail. These publications are usually delivered to you free of charge weekly or monthly.

Resources pertaining to budgeting and savings found online cover a variety of different aspects pertaining to these two financial topics. Recommended reading material regarding these aspects of financial freedom can be found on Financial Freedom Made Simple.com.

This site provides a range of tips in regards to created a reasonable budget. In other words, information is available to help individuals and business owners design a budget that is not too strict. For example, many small business owners feel as though they should always deprive them selves of entertainment.

However, you can learn from reading articles on this site that you can redesign your budget to include fun activities. One of the examples of practical advice given to those who are working towards financial freedom is to set aside 10% of income towards savings.

Investing and planning advice offered on Financial Freedom Made Simple.com includes how to choose a savings account. For instance, they suggest finding an account that pays out a revenue that is higher than the standard savings, such as a CD or Mutual Fund. On this site, information regarding financial risk-taking is available as well.

Another useful advice for those seeking financial freedom and business advice is the use of a dept free calculator. You can determine your own ability to find your way out of dept by using this tool provided for free at the CNN Money.com site.

The above-mentioned dept reduction planning tool offers a way to determine how much you will need to pay on your debts. It also provides a way for you to find out how much you will need to pay per month over a specified number of years. You can use this calculator as many times as you would like.

Another very important aspect regarding financial freedom business advice has not been mentioned yet. That is the psychology of money, and the attitudes behind it that often keep new business owners trapped. Some of these attitudes are positive and some of these are negative.

In order to know how to deal with the attitudes you have towards money, think of all of what you have said or heard about it. One of the common mistakes in thinking is that "there is never enough" or "money is bad". However, money itself is not "bad" and there can be enough to go around.

The only aspect of money that is "bad" is the kind that says that you need to have everything that you want now. It is okay once in awhile to take a risk with your money, whether it would be to start a business or just simply spend it on a new appliance.

However, try to avoid overly-careless spending, especially on gadgets or software that you do not necessarily need. This is true whether you are making a business purchase or a personal purchase. For instance, you may find a large selection of different types of video cameras and think right away that you need the most expensive one.

However, when you do your research you will learn that you can find quality cameras of this caliber for much less than you thought. For instance, some 25x zoom digital camcorders have been sold for as low as $200.00.

This principle applies to any purchase you consider. Knowing this kind of information can help you while shopping for computer software, audio music, equipment, office products, and so on.

Saving money with your ebook

Saving money with your ebook
Copyright © Thomas Neville
Web Site: Work At home Computer Based Business

Do not use your checking account to hold excess funds which are not needed in the conduct of your affiliate marketing ebook business in the near future. Very few checking accounts pay interest and idle money should be put to work. It belongs in a savings account but not in the bank which handles your checking account.

Savings and loan associations and savings societies consistently pay higher rates of interest than commercial banks and savings and loan associations. Most of these pay interest from day of deposit to day of withdrawal, with interest compounded daily and credited quarterly. Such accounts earn the most money on your excess funds.

Suppliers generally offer a small discount on invoices if paid within a specific period, usually 10 to 30 days from receipt. This prompt payment discount can range to two to three percent and occasionally higher. Even if it is only a fraction of one percent, it is still a saving of money. Always pay bills promptly if a discount is offered. Otherwise pay the net amount within the usually 30 days allowed.

When purchasing in large quantities, it is not usually necessary to accept delivery all at one time. Most suppliers will stagger shipments to you at intervals you specify, in effect providing free storage for you and reducing the amount of space you need for your inventory. This also assures you of always receiving fresh merchandise.

Your printer can help save you money. Consider his suggestions regarding printing methods, copy affiliate marketing ebook composition, and choice of paper weight, surface and quality. Use the least costly methods which will produce acceptable results. A large part of your overhead expenses are represented by printing costs. Savings in this area can be important over a period of time. Your printer will also offer lower per-unit prices for larger printing runs. Take advantage of these quantity prices if you are reasonably sure you will be able to use the additional material effectively.

Careful attention to the wording of your classified ads to reduce the number of words and lines of type while still retaining a hard-hitting message will reduce advertising costs. Savings can be used to place ads in additional periodicals, reaching more potential customers and increasing your profits.

Most periodicals offer a lower price per insertion if you contract to place your ad a specified number of times each year. Since you will be running your ad several times a year in each periodical you use, take advantage of this savings and contract for the number of insertions which suit your advertising campaign.

You may eventually decide to place all your ads through an advertising agency. While this service costs you nothing, it doesn’t save anything but a small amount of money in postage. However, it can save you time which you can use to advantage in other phases of the operation of your business.

Other money-savings ideas, which can really add up, and accurately keeping records of all business expenses. Business expenses are deductible in full as legitimate costs of doing business and will keep your income taxes at the legal minimum.

Working with a financial planner

Working with a financial planner
Copyright © Thomas Neville
Work At home Computer Based Business site

Not all financial advisors who work on commission are biased, but the temptation is there. You’re safest sticking with hourly fee advisors, but in the end it’s really a question of the individual person. Partner with the person who makes you feel comfortable to achieve financial freedom.

The reality is that the more honest and reputable a financial planner is, the less money that their not-so-honest and others make. An honest, fee-only financial planner may only charge you a few hundred dollars for an afternoon session. But what about the not-so-honest financial planner who uses that three-hour session to sell you an overpriced investment that makes him a commission of thousands of dollars? The latter financial planner will get rich much quicker than the former, but will do so at the expense of the person they were supposed to help achieve financial freedom.

Another warning sign that your financial planner is thinking solely about themselves is whether or not they ask you about your goals. Remember that financial planning is first about your plans. Your finances come second. If a financial advisor opens the meeting with the line that it’s a great time to buy stocks, you should grab your coat and a fistful of mints from the candy dish and get out of there to achieve financial freedom. A good financial advisor will always ask you about your goals first and then figure out, based on your goals, the best place for you money.

Beware too, of the ones who skip the simple stuff. For most people, the best things they can do with the first few thousand dollars they save is to pay off credit card debt, buy the proper insurance and start an emergency reserve fund. If a financial advisor is pushing you to invest in the stock market and mentions nothing about credit cards, insurance or emergencies, they probably make money off selling stocks and make nothing off those other things.

Unless you have a multiple personality disorder, you’re never going to cheat yourself. You know what’s best for you better than anyone else. You may not need a financial advisor for quite some time.

There is one thing a financial advisor can do that no article can do for you and that’s give you a kick in the ass. I never understood why people paid for personal trainers until my mom got one and her bench press came dangerously close to exceeding mine. I worked out when I could find time, but my mom made sure she worked out consistently. Financial advisors can be that missing link between saying you’re going to invest and actually doing it.

You won’t find too many financial articles telling young people to see out a tax advisor and develop a tax strategy, but it’s important for many reasons. The first is that many of the simplest tax breaks fit snugly into the lives of students and young professionals. These juicy tax breaks revolve around education expenses, moving expenses, children, working overseas and earning a low income. Do any of those sound like you? And let’s face it, taxes are a painless way to save money.

The Importance of the Business Mentor

The Importance of the Business Mentor
Copyright © Thomas Neville
Work At home Computer Based Business site

Would you jump into the deep end of the pool without first having an experienced swimmer teach you the basics of survival in water? Would you head for the steep slopes of Aspen or Breckenridge without first asking a professional to recommend the best equipment for the skiing conditions you are likely to encounter? Of course not! Failure to seek and heed the advice of those who have been there, done that, and experienced these situations can be life saving or at the least prevent you from going under – literally as well as figuratively. The same is true for the business mentor.

Why would a newbie enter the world of business without seeking out the help, advice, and guidance of an experienced business mentor who has already tread where the newbie is seeking to tread, and failed where the newbie might be able to learn from the experience of another and thus be spared the failure? The answer is simple: a misguided understanding of personal business acumen and a failure to realize that a business mentor is easier to find than one might have imagined!

Granted, for the newbie is might appear to be a lot of extra work to go out and seek out that individual business person, but all things considered, this time and effort is an upfront investment in the health and wellness of the business! Yet even here there is still room for error! Too often the importance of the business is understood but the acting upon that understanding is flawed. Instead of looking for the business man or woman who is ahead of the person in the business and who is willing to take them under their wings and teach them everything they know about the business, the newbie might be looking for the casual acquaintance that might have an opinion or two on business.

Sure, these individuals have some great advice in store and can make a lot of difference in the start up of a new business, but ultimately they do not offering the business mentor relationship. Instead, they are called upon in a strict question and answer kind of relationship where the business newbie may approach them in times of need, while at other times she or he will be working on their own. The business mentor, on the other hand, anticipates needs and questions before they even occur and therefore it is not at all surprising to find that individual seeking out interaction with the business newbie throughout the week or month, even if there is no pressing business problem.

This underlines the difference in the relationship between the casual business advisor and the bona fide business mentors who will make it part of their business to see another business person succeed from the ground up. No new business owner can succeed without such a mentor and once you find yourself at the top of your game, remember how you go there and then offer up your services as a business mentor yourself!

Should You Join A Business Mentoring Program?

Should You Join A Business Mentoring Program?
Copyright © Thomas Neville
Work At home Computer Based Business site

There are three players in most any business mentoring program: the mentor, the mentee, and the facilitator. Whether or not you should join a business mentoring program depends a lot on the other two players in this experiential triangle. Hook up with a facilitator that is more or less a money making platform but pays little attention to the quality of the mentors, and you will waste your hard earned money. Conversely, sign on to become a mentor and find that the mentees more or less are not as serious about becoming entrepreneurs or productive members of the business community, and you will find that you are wasting your time and energy.

On the other hand, if you are lucky enough to get connected with a facilitator that works hard on pairing the right kinds of mentors with respective mentees, and you will find that you are in for the learning experience of your life! Such a business mentoring program can become the backbone of your business success with the venture you are currently engaged in as well as any future ventures you might be considering at some other point in time. If you have the opportunity to join such a business mentoring program, you will be wise to sign up as soon as there are openings!

Overall, the stated goal of a business mentoring program needs to be the practical application of time tested business concepts in a local or currently viable economic model. If there is a recession, then the business mentoring will most likely take a completely different tact than during a time of economic upswing. At the same time, the mentoring you will experience during a time of turmoil most likely will focus on you, the entrepreneur, a lot more than on the business aspects themselves since uncertain times do not lend themselves for hanging on to businesses and projects that are proving themselves to be not profitable.

Conversely, as a mentor you have every right to expect a pairing with a mentee who is eager to learn from you even though you should not expect her or him to take your words of wisdom as gospel, it is entirely natural to hope that some of the hard learned life’s lessons will help someone else to prevent certain problems and pitfalls. In so doing, you are also setting up a great business ally who may send some overflow business your way and who may look out for your changing business interests later on. Ideally, a business mentoring program will result in a lifelong relationship that is mutually beneficial not just for the here and now but for times to come.

Finding a facilitator that meets your needs is not an easy task. Carefully peruse the qualifications of the mentors who are part of the business mentoring program and also find out where the mentees are coming from. In some cases you may not be ready to sign up at a venue where the cost is too high or the remuneration too low. Conversely, you may find that even if the money aspect is not a driving force, the quality of the facilitated interaction leaves something to be desired and perhaps you will continue to look further for a different platform.

Investing In Business Mentoring Programs Is a Smart Choice

Investing In Business Mentoring Programs Is a Smart Choice
Copyright © Thomas Neville
Work At home Computer Based Business site

Even successful companies are now entering the marketplace with someone holding their corporate hands. Interestingly, instead of relying on a consultant or even senior advisor, many a company is looking to business mentoring programs. What in the past was largely seen as a wasteful expenditure, is now becoming the new gospel of prosperity on a small scale, and savvy business owners realize that what consultants failed to develop – namely the human aspect of the business relationship – those participating in business mentoring programs are much more apt to deliver.

Granted, even as investing in business mentoring programs is a smart choice for the up and coming business, it is not a magic bullet that can keep a mismanaged or perhaps superfluous trade or business afloat. On the other hand, with proper mentoring, an existing company has been known to change course quickly and by far much more easily than could ever be accomplished by a business owner all by themselves. Even if the company is bigger and there are more than one owner or maybe even a board of directors, the failure to change course rapidly is ingrained in the mindset of a business and it is credited to various business mentoring programs that showcase successful business transitions and thus keep a company in the black rather than gradually sliding into the red.

At this point in time, business mentoring programs may be more universal in that they address the company as a whole and therefore focus on advertising and merchandising as much as they keep a close eye on the human resources aspect of the business. In other cases, business mentoring programs may be custom tailored to hone in on one aspect only, such as human resources or compliance with local authorities, and therefore the approach of the mentor and the nature of the mentee will be entirely different. The dynamics of the business relationship are entirely up to the business owner and it is the wise entrepreneur who will capitalize on this resource to the largest extent possible.

It is hard to guess which approach will work best for your company. If you own a small to midsized company a universal approach most likely is your best bet since it permits for a general treatment of the business and sine it offers unique insight into the daily workings of the business and the interactions of the entrepreneur to the mentor. On the other hand, for a mentor to come up to speed in a large organization will be an overwhelming and thus it makes a lot more sense to opt for a parceled approach. A lot of the scope and definition of the relationship is up for discussion and the mentor and mentee will be wise to discuss ahead of time what they are hoping to accomplish and what they believe they are able to bring to the table of the business relationship. The best relationships will be those with a certain level of fluidity and a lack of rigor; contact a mentor today to see what you may be able to glean for your very own business!

Why Paid Business Mentor Programs Are So Successful

Why Paid Business Mentor Programs Are So Successful
Copyright © Thomas Neville
Work At home Computer Based Business site

If you are looking into business mentor programs, you know that you need help. Maybe everything is going well in your business but you are ready to get to that next level and you know that this can only be achieved with the help of a professional mentor or one of the business mentor programs you see advertised online. On the other hand, you might be wondering why your business has not taken off the way you anticipated and there might actually even be indications that your bottom line is beginning to slip. In such cases it is wise to fully anticipate that your mentor could have some words of criticism. Interestingly, paid business mentor programs are populated by individuals who have a knack for speaking with a business professional in a peer to peer manner rather than a commanding or order issuing style, and many new small business mentees attribute their success to the approach taken by their mentors.

Business mentor programs are unique in that they fore go the role of the advisor who might offer a laundry list of should and should not statements – even if they are right on the money – and instead truly focus on the mentor as a guide who will lead you to a point of self examination and thus will help you to rethink your approach rather than doing the thinking for you. Perhaps somewhat surprisingly, even those who might attempt to coach will taste defeat. Mentoring is a unique approach that cannot make do with a hierarchical attitude anymore and instead relies most heavily on the rapport building and the gentle and sometimes time consuming task of getting the mentee to think in a new direction.

Sure, you might get more immediate bangs for your bucks from your business mentor programs if the mentors would just tell you what to do, but in the long run this failure to expand the horizon of the mentee will lead to only short term success and only limited applicability of the lessons learned. While the long way round may in the aftermath seem like a rather time consuming process, the fact that you will learn a lot during the journey is indeed the most worthwhile component of hiring a professional outfit to take on the role as business mentor.

When it comes to building successful business mentoring programs, the facilitators will look long and hard for professionals who refrain from lecturing or mentees who are simply interested in the end result. Instead, the perfect pairing is of those who see the process as a means to success and as such do not mind undergoing it at the rate that their preconceived notions, current business acumen, and at times also lack of overall business savvy dictate. The personal growth that will be yours is most valuable and the fact that this very growth is the reason why so many business mentor programs are so successful cannot be denied. Check out programs in your area today and get on your way!

Do You Have What It Takes To Offer A Business Mentor Program To New Entrepreneurs?

Do You Have What It Takes To Offer A Business Mentor Program To New Entrepreneurs?
Copyright © Thomas Neville
Work At home Computer Based Business site

Have you considered that giving back to the local business community would be a great way to set yourself up for the next stage of abundant prosperity in your business? Perhaps you are envisioning of starting a new business which serves as a sidelines to your already existing business ventures and which focuses on offering a business mentor program. Even as this is a noble undertaking and may be a quite lucrative method of finding additional income and revenue, it is crucial to recognize that not everyone is cut out to be a business mentor program participant.

Being successful in your field, and even having a quite respectable bank balance might put you in the running for being desirable by other entrepreneurs, but it will not automatically mean that you have what it takes to pass on your experience and knowledge. For example, if you are approaching this venture strictly from a fiscal point of view but completely fail to receive a sense of personal satisfaction that comes from passing on your personal and business experience you are not in the right spot to participate in a business mentor program.

You see, the notion of a business mentor program is one where you might not be paid what you are worth and where you might not even receive the appreciation that is due you and which you might expect to receive from an entrepreneur a little more knowledgeable and skilled than a newbie. In addition to the foregoing, some entrepreneurs will not be as open to your mentoring as perhaps you believe they ought to be and even though they may pay you, they still will not go along with your recommendations or simply fail to execute them satisfactorily. If you are easily frustrated and before long develop the attitude of the other person being the junior partner instead of an equal business entrepreneur, you will find that this is a most trying business relationship.

On the other hand, if you are open to learning from another entrepreneur and understand that your opinion by itself carries little weight, but when combined with the sum of your failures and successes has a most powerful message to convey, then you are ready to consider a business mentor program. Furthermore, if you are willing to build a personal relationship with your mentee and not be afraid to share from your failures as well as your successes, then you might find that you relationship will indeed be a most profitable one not only for the other entrepreneur but for yourself as well.

Perhaps the single most important quality to have when considering whether you have what it takes to offer a business mentor program to others is your willingness and ability to listen intently. Do you have it? Are you able to exercise it even if you believe the potential mentee is going in a direction that you would not choose at this time? Are you open to learning from perhaps a different approach to business that nonetheless might be entirely valid?

What a Business Mentorship Can Do

What a Business Mentorship Can Do
Copyright © Thomas Neville
Work At home Computer Based Business site

A business mentorship is perhaps the most vital expense you will incur in the early days of your small business’ existence. Sure, you might find that the shoestring budget you are on precludes this kind of expense, but if you are honest with yourself, you know that you must – at all costs – invest in a mentoring relationship that will help you traverse the oftentimes treacherous waters of small business start up.

To this end, a corporate business mentorship is the answer the entrepreneur is looking for when it comes to separating from others who are also trying to start up a business. Perhaps it is the notion that you know there is more you can do, but you are simply not quite sure what it is and how to go about it, or you have hired a consultant to help you with some nuts and bolts and even though you want to put into practice the suggestions offered – for which you most likely paid a substantial amount of money – you are uncertain how to do so.

Challenges such as these must be weathered by the individual entrepreneur and your small business depends on your ability to meet them head on and to rise to them, quite often before they are even fully developed! At the same time, your continuous improvement of business performance and you ability to recognize those who can help you in business and foster these relationships also requires some training. Do not forget that a small business owner very often wears more than one hat and as such time is a premium commodity you will have very little of. How you stretch it and make it work to your advantage and yield the maximum return on investment is in large part determined by your natural business acumen.

A business mentorship can make up for the business acumen you might have failed to receive with your genes and instead it is a training relationship that does not necessarily tell you how to do what you want to do, but how to become the visionary who not only recognizes the opportunity but also innately knows how to respond to it. In a day and age where waiting is the one luxury a small business entrepreneur cannot afford, it is crucial to know exactly how to respond in certain situations and this is where a business mentorship will not only offer the most advantage for an entrepreneur, but it may have the power to prevent your business from making costly mistakes.

Business mentoring very often may be purchased and the online marketplace is abuzz with professionals willing and able to offer their services. Rather than discounting them as opportunist, recognize that these business mentorship offers are bona fide methods of taking care of business and as such you will be wise to join the ranks of those professionals who have already taken advantage of the unbiased help of a third party and in the process of doing so are growing their companies by leaps and bounds.

Do You Need Affordable Self Employment Health Insurance?

Do You Need Affordable Self Employment Health Insurance?
Copyright © Thomas Neville
Work At home Computer Based Business site

It can be tough to find affordable self employment health insurance but it’s not impossible. If you need to find affordable self employment health insurance the best thing to do is talk to a few different insurance agents. There are agents that specialize in helping people that have their own businesses or work for themselves find the right insurance to provide protection for both them and their families.

If you’re leaving the comfort of a good job to strike out on your own it can be scary to think that you might have to take an insurance policy that doesn’t provide the kind of coverage that you have at your job but you can find self employment health insurance that gives complete coverage and still doesn’t cost an arm and a leg but it can be hard to find that kind of self employment health insurance on your own. The best thing to do when you’re looking for self employment health insurance is to sit down before you start looking for self employment health insurance and decide what coverage you really need and what coverage you can live without.

For example, do you need to have self employment health insurance that has dental and vision coverage or can you live without dental and vision coverage? If you can your self employment health insurance premiums will probably be much lower. Go through and decide what kinds of things you don’t really need and what things you absolutely have to have. For example if you don’t take a lot medication then might not need a prescription drug plan or you might not need a prescription drug plan that has a really low co pay but if you take a lot of expensive prescription drugs then you will need self employment health insurance that has a very low co pay so that you don’t get slammed with huge fees for your medication every month.

Knowing in advance what coverage you really need and what coverage you can live without can make a big difference when it comes to the cost of the premiums that you will pay for your self employment health insurance. If you need self employment health insurance that will also cover the other members of your family then you should plan on paying at least several hundred dollars a month more than if you were just paying for yourself. Finding affordable self employment health insurance can also be easier if you talk to several different qualified insurance agents.

There are a lot of smaller insurance companies that are starting to specialize in providing self employment health insurance because so many people now work for themselves so getting quotes from as many of those smaller companies as possible is a good way to make sure that you get the best deal possible on self employment health insurance. Most health insurance agents will give up to three quotes for free so collect as many quotes from as many insurance agents as you can before deciding which self employment health insurance you want to purchase.

How to Make Business Mentoring Work

How to Make Business Mentoring Work
Copyright © Thomas Neville
Work At home Computer Based Business site

Have you ever wondered why some business mentoring relationships seem to be working out just fine while others may start off with a bang and then eventually simply seem to disintegrate gradually? Before long, mentor and mentee have not communicated in months, and the relationship appears to be strained at best. Sure, business mentoring – just like any other business relationship – might not always work out, but by and large a mentoring relationship should weather the storms and offer a much used avenue of communication for those involved.

How to make business mentoring work is of course not a one sided endeavor and even though the more experienced mentor might initially be the driving force behind making the relationship work, it is the mentee who needs to be diligent about approaching the mentor and not letting the relationship fizzle. It is tempting for the mentee to believe that she or he has learned all there is to learn and a few early successes might actually foster that sense of accomplishment and might make it a foregone conclusion that the business mentoring relationship has lived out its usefulness. Nothing could be further from the truth!

It is precisely the moment of success that business mentoring becomes more crucial than ever! After all, now that the momentum has presented itself, does it not stand to reason that this is a premier opportunity to expand on the business mentoring to take the business to the next level? Resting on your laurels will most likely make the initial success and exception to the rule and failure to duplicate the early fiscal success most likely will result in a failure to grow the business and live up to your success potential. On the flip side, if you are able to maximize on your success by involving your business mentor, you will most likely set up yourself and your business for a most profitable ride.

Of course, remember that a business mentor must not be taken advantage of. The most commonly heard complaint from those in the mentoring seat of the relationship is that they are used rather than learned from and this of course will lead to the ultimate destruction of the relationship. Therefore it is advisable to use the first fiscal signs of success as a springboard to alter the mentor and mentee business mentor relationship. Perhaps the mentee could cut in the mentor for a percentage of the profits, or in the alternative find a way to pay the mentor a consulting fee. Even if the mentor will waive any such suggestions, the fact that it was sincerely offered will go a long way to ensuring that relationship will grow and remain strong.

How to make the business mentoring relationship work and grow over the course of the business success does not have to be a secret and it will not require a lot of contractual wrangling about assets and profit sharing. Instead, it should be a mix of gratitude and tangible remuneration seasoned with a liberal dose of respect.

Are you Self Employed with Health Insurance?

Are you Self Employed with Health Insurance?
Copyright © Thomas Neville
Work At home Computer Based Business site

If you are self employed do have health insurance? A lot of people that work for themselves are self employed without health insurance because being self employed with health insurance is very expensive and most people who are self employed can’t afford health insurance. It’s also hard to be self employed with health insurance from any of the major health insurance providers because a lot of the big health insurance providers won’t give coverage to someone that is self employed.

Since self employed people are seen as a financial risk by a lot of health insurance companies it can be very difficult to become self employed with health insurance coverage from a major health care provider unless you pay very high premiums or pay for a year of coverage or more in advance. Everyone that is self employed would love to be self employed with health insurance but it’s not always possible for a self employed person to find affordable health care coverage. So how can you be self employed with health insurance if you can’t find an affordable health insurance plan?

There are options if you are self employed and need health insurance. Some smaller insurance companies offer ala carte health insurance coverage where you can choose to add just the coverage that you need, like coverage for prescription medications and office visits, and that kind of ala carte coverage can be more affordable than full health insurance. You can also look into a discount plan that isn’t the same as insurance but gives you discounts on the most common types of medical services like office exams and routine tests. Or you can join with other self employed people to form a loose network and try to get a good deal on health insurance from a major health insurance company just like a traditional company one.

These groups of self employed people who seek health insurance together usually work out very well and the self employed can get health insurance at a better price than they could get if they wanted to get self employed health insurance by themselves. If you join a freelancer’s union or other group you can often get health insurance for a much lower rate then you would pay if you just got the standard self employed health insurance rate that most companies have. Finding self employed health insurance can take a lot of time and effort but everyone needs to have health insurance these days so if you haven’t already found some self employed health insurance you really should make it a priority to get some health insurance.

If a medical crisis or emergency were to happen and you are self employed you wouldn’t want to get stuck with all those hospital bills. Having health insurance is just something that everyone needs to have, like car insurance, so even if you’re self employed and you’re tempted to go without health insurance to save money you should get the health insurance now so that if anything were to ever happen you wouldn’t end up paying all the hospital bills out of pocket.

Are There Any Self Employment Taxes?

Are There Any Self Employment Taxes?
Copyright © Thomas Neville
Work At home Computer Based Business site

If you are thinking about working for yourself or if you recently started working for yourself you might be wondering if there any special self employment taxes that you have to pay when you quit your job to become self employed. In fact there are self employment taxes that need to be paid. Even if you are self employed you still need to pay taxes so that you are paying into the Social Security and Medicare systems in case you ever want to get money from Social Security or health care from Medicare.

It’s not two separate self employment taxes that have to be paid; it’s just one self employment tax that is 15% of your self employment earnings. So you’ll need to pay self employment taxes at the end of the year just like income taxes if you work for yourself. Self employment taxes are usually not that bad to have to pay especially if you are smart and start saving money early to pay your taxes at the end of the year. Most people who are self employed save a certain percentage of their income each month and set it aside to pay their taxes at the end of the year so that they don’t get stuck with a tax bill that might thousands of dollars.

It makes a lot of sense to pay your self employment taxes that way so if you are thinking about becoming self employed or if you are self employed you should start setting aside money every month for your end of the year tax bill. Self employment taxes and business taxes might seem kind of confusing when you first out being self employed but they’re not as scary as they seem. If you are someone that gets confused easily by convoluted tax law of if you don’t do well with math then you should probably think about hiring a tax professional to do your taxes for you at the end of the year. There are plenty of tax professionals that specialize in doing self employment taxes and small business taxes so it won’t be too hard to find a certified tax professional who can make sure that your taxes are done correctly. You can save a lot of money on your self employment taxes when you hire a professional to file them for you because a tax professional will know all the ins and out of the tax code and how to get you all the tax write offs that you’re entitled too. If you haven’t done your own taxes before and this is the first year that you have to file self employment taxes hiring an expert to file your taxes is definitely a smart thing to do.

If you want to learn more about self employment taxes you can take an online course and get certified in doing self employment taxes and then you can do your own self employment taxes every year. You might even be able to pick up extra work around tax time doing self employment taxes for friends that are self employed.

How To Write A Keyword Article

How To Write A Keyword Article
Copyright © Thomas Neville
Work At home Computer Based Business site

There is a lot of talk these days about using keyword articles to attract visitors to a website and with the growing use of article marketing, there seems to be some benefit to using this method in a company's marketing plan. There is also some confusion about the use of keywords as well as what they are and what they mean to a website owner.

First of all, keywords are those entered into a search engine by an internet user who is looking for specific information. They may not know exactly what they are looking for but, they know what they want. For example, if a person is looking for home improvement tips about replacing ceramic floor tile, they have the option of entering many different search terms, which really is what keywords are all about.

They may enter the term 'replace ceramic floor' or simply enter 'ceramic floor' and start looking at the search results pages for the information they can use. Terms such as 'replacement floors' or 'replacement ceramics' may also be used and business owners will have no idea what terms the user will look for and when beginning their search most users rarely find what they want on the first few tries. Unless, there is an article somewhere that uses that exact phrase.

Typically, an article will contain a specific search term between four and 12 times, depending on the length of the article and the search time needs to be placed in the article so that the writing remains grammatically correct and the phrase is a natural order as though it belongs there and not used simply to use it. Unfortunately, some websites will use what is termed keyword stuffing, which uses the phrase 30 or 40 times in a four or 500 word article, which is a turn off for the search engines and really offers nothing useful to the web searcher.

Articles need to offer some value to the person conducting the search. If the company that sells replacement ceramic tile can produce a series of articles on the best way to remove the old tile, remove the old glue or cement from the surface, how to prepare the surface for new tile and other areas about the subject, they will provide valuable information that can draw visitors to their site where they may actually buy the tile.

These articles can be published on their own website on pages dedicated to helping potential customers learn how to replace the tile. They can also be published on homeowner remodeling sites as tips for others. One thing that articles cannot do is advise the readers to visit a specific site or a specific business. This is unacceptable to search engines as well as to other web ezine publishers.

All published articles can have an author's biography giving the author credit for the article as well as outline their competence in the subject matter. The block on these articles could talk about their experience level in ceramic tile replacement and the years they have been involved in the business as well as mention they operate a business at the website location, including a hot link.

Qualities that Entrepreneurs Need

Qualities that Entrepreneurs Need
Copyright © Thomas Neville
Work At home Computer Based Business site

One of the biggest myths regarding starting your own business is that you are doomed to failure unless you have a natural aptitude or a natural talent for business. In other words, if you weren't born to be an entrepreneur, then you are going to be sunk before you even start. Needless to say, this is an untrue notion. While there are a number of skills that you absolutely have to be a successful businessman, there are ways for you to develop those skills along the way. Instead of those skills, what you need to be thinking about are the qualities inherent to all good entrepreneurs. There are some of them and there are some things you need to have, but if you are interested in starting a business chances are you have them already.

The first one is perseverance. Starting a business is like the exponential version of working on a project for school. When you are learning a new concept for that project, you are going to have to go slow, but steady. If you just start, do it for a bit and then leave it alone, you are going to fail the project. But if you start it and then keep at it little by little, you are going to end up with a successful final product. This is what you need to do in business; you need to keep at it until you get to the point of being successful.

In addition to perseverance, you need to have a thick skin. In the business world, you are going to meet a number of cut-throat individuals that would like nothing better than to see you fail so that they can succeed. While it is good to have business relationships with other companies, what is not so good is taking anything negative they say as the gospel and taking it completely to heart. If you do that, then it won't take very many negative comments before you hang up your business for good. Consider taking people's advice if it is constructive, but do not listen to anyone that is completely negative.

Finally, in addition to perseverance and a thick skin, you also need to have the ability to deal with failure. There are a number of people that do not have this ability and in fact there are people that give up on something after having one unsuccessful try at it. This is something that you need to avoid in business because you're going to fail at things again and again. The most successful businessmen of today were failures at some point yesterday; what makes them successful businessmen is that they did not give up. You shouldn't give up either; if you have one quality out of these three, make sure it is the ability to deal with failure.

Work at Home as an Independent Contractor or Employee

Work at Home as an Independent Contractor or Employee
Copyright © Thomas Neville
Work At home Computer Based Business site

In the work at home job market there are two different options of status. A person can either be an employee or an independent contractor. The two are very different and understanding them is very important.

As an Employee

An employee is the type of working status that most people are familiar with. In general, most jobs outside the home are employee positions. An employee works exclusively for the company. The company pays taxes on their behalf and withholds taxes form their paycheck. The person enters into an agreement to work for a certain amount of pay and usually for specified work hours.

As an employee a person is entitled to benefits. They may get health insurance, paid days off, vacation time and other perks from the company. They also qualify for unemployment through the government and workers compensation due to injury on the job.

An employee position in the work at home job market is something rare. There are opportunities, but mostly the work at home jobs are for independent contractors.

As an Independent Contractor

An independent contractor works for no one but themselves. An independent contractor simply makes an agreement to work for the company, but is not an exclusive member of the company or otherwise indebted to the company. Usually the work agreement is for a set amount or set time period and the pay is often negotiable. The company dopes not pay taxes nor do they withhold taxes for the independent contractor.

The independent contractor does not get benefits and can not qualify for certain government benefits. Additionally, a company does not have to guarantee work beyond the contract to the independent contractor. They can use the independent contractor only when they need them. However, an independent contractor has more freedom.

When an independent contractor is not in a contract with a company then they are free to work with someone else or to even take time off. They have more control over their time because they are not locked into an everyday agreement. Most work at home jobs are going to fall under the position of an independent contractor.

Why do Work at Home Jobs Tend to be for Independent Contractors?

The reason is that most companies choose to use home workers because it is cheaper. They do not have to pay for a work space for them or the tools and equipment they need to do their job. So, the company doesn’t want to have to be locked into using them all the time or having to pay out benefits. Using independent contractors makes more sense and saves more money.

In many cases there are positions as independent contractors that are like a hybrid of being an employee and independent contractor. These positions offer a set work schedule and pay but have the benefit of freedom and still require a person to pay their own taxes.

When looking for a work at home job a person should not be too stuck on finding a position as an employee. It is best to understand both types of positions so you can be okay with either type.

The Truth About Free Home Business Traffic

The Truth About Free Home Business Traffic
Copyright © Thomas Neville
Work At home Computer Based Business site

Do you want to know the truth about free home business traffic? If so, then read this, as it will teach you how to generate more free traffic to your home business site.

The truth about free home business traffic is that it is available in more ways that you would think. The following are only a few examples:

From Posting on Forums, Blogs, and Friend Sites:

One of the most amazing truths about free home business traffic is the countless opportunities for word-of-mouth advertisement. From MySpace, to Yahoo Groups, to MSN Spaces you have plenty of opportunity to get involved in community. You can post on forums, blogs, and other social sites.

Many of these interactive sites allow you to place a link with your signature as long as it is not an affiliate link, but a link to your own website. Some of the sites may even allow you to post affiliate links, but be careful about that and read the site's guidelines before doing so.

No matter how you look at it this will always be a necessary form of advertisement. Both small business and large corporations use this technique.

From Offering Free and Reduced Price e-Books:

You can offer free and reduced price e-books on shopping sites. One of the most popular is eBay, which is free to join and costs users very little money to use. You can post an auction listing for a free e-book, or perhaps for one that only costs 99 cents.

This is a very effective way to attract new visitors. The reason why is because e-books provide opportunity for you to leave contact information with e-Bay buyers who download these books.

From Writing Informative and Useful Website Content:

Information, information, and more information is the core of truth about free home business traffic. Without the provision of useful tools and resources on your sites or directed to your sites no one will ever find you.

Conversely, the more useful and informative your website is the more people will want to come back. They will remember "oh yeah, I read that on...(name of your site)." Then they will refer your free informative articles to others who will also visit your site and possibly become one of your customers.

From Processing Free Press Releases

All this is is simply writing a short news summary about your business. You post it on websites that allow you to do so for free, and you also post locally in your area if you can to news and radio stations. The more newsworthy the information is the better press coverage you will receive-and more of it too.

From using the Right Keywords

You know about Google right? It's the largest search engine out there. If you can find a balance between placing popular keywords that do not have astronomical pages of search results it will benefit you.

This is typically called niche marketing, as a large share of people may search for the keyword but not that many website URLs are competing for those words. If not many other search results are on the list guess who is nearest the top-you!

Take advantage of this whenever you can. This is actually one of the most important truths about free home business traffic.

Another truth about free home business traffic is this: if you do not promote your blogs, forums, websites, or other media that describes your business no one will know about you. The cold, hard fact is you cannot just put your domain up and expect people or search engines to find you immediately.

You need to get out there and make sure you put your business name anywhere you can. Also, provide a profile of your self so people know a little about your company.

Free Work at Home Business Ideas

Free Work at Home Business Ideas
Copyright © Thomas Neville
Work At home Computer Based Business site

If you know that you want to start a home based business, if you have the motivation and drive to get up and running, but you don’t know where to start, this blog will give you some free home business ideas. People tend to think that a home based business automatically means a daycare service or online sales. While these home businesses are often successful, it is not necessarily a dead end from there—there are dozens of other free home business ideas that you’re going to learn about right now!

Desktop publishing is a field that can easily be turned into a home based business. In a nutshell, desktop publishers use a computer or laptop to produce quality printed documents. They use computer programs to format and combine text, photographs, data, graphic art, or illustrations into pages that will be printed. Desktop publishers may produce a variety of media such as books, brochures, calendars, magazines, magazines, newsletters, newspapers, packaging, and forms.

Most of the time, desktop publishers have a degree in desktop publishing, graphic imaging, graphic design, or another degree in that field. Another huge plus of desktop publishing is that the costs are minimal. There aren’t specific supplies to get unless you don’t own a computer. As long as you have your computer, your office, and your programs, you can start to build your clientele.

The next free home business idea is accounting. To earn a legitimate amount in this field, you will need to be a Certified Public Accountant or at least have a degree in a related field. As a home based accountant, you’d work for businesses and individuals by preparing financial reports, payroll, tax planning, and financial forms.

You’d need to be comfortable with numbers and detail oriented. Not to mention, organization is completely necessary. All you need for accounting is a fax machine, copier, calculator, and computer with spreadsheet, word processing, and database software. Additional software and reference material will be needed depending on the services that you offer.

The third free home business idea is a virtual assistant secretarial service. Usually, a virtual secretary will work for individuals, sole proprietors, and small businesses that don’t have a need for a full time secretary. Virtual assistants can specialize in one area or they can offer a variety of services which can include: typing manuscripts, data entry, marketing, bookkeeping, transcription, writing proposals, schedule meetings, database management, billing, and the list goes on. As a VA you should be a quick and accurate typist, you should understand the Internet, you should be great with computers, you should know the word processing and spreadsheet programs, and you should have business management skills.

Another possibility is online tutoring. This field is becoming increasingly popular by the day. As an online tutor, you’d help people in certain academic and nonacademic subjects or you may have your own courses and workshops. A website is an essential in this field because it will provide all of the necessary information for potential customers. Your website would tell what specific areas you tutor in, have resources for your subjects, online courses and workshops, and a user interface to interact in the classes. As an online tutor, there are also some extra ways to bring in the cash. You can sell ad space on your website for advertisements or join an affiliate program.

So take a look into these free home business ideas and then add your own touch.

The Keys to Advertising that Works for Home Business

The Keys to Advertising that Works for Home Business
Copyright © Thomas Neville
Work At home Computer Based Business site

Advertising is a large part of a successful online business. Being able to advertise and draw in business is the core of success. Choosing the right advertising is important. There are things a person can do when it comes to advertising that may work for some businesses, but that does not work for theirs. Understanding how to target advertise is incredibly important in an online home business.

Target market is a term that a person will hear a lot in business. The idea of a target market is that a product will not always sell to everyone. For example, baby diapers are not going to sell to children. The best people to market to for baby diapers would be moms because it has been shown they are the most likely to buy them. So, a target market is basically, the group of people who is most likely to buy a product.

Figuring out the target market for some products will be simple, but it can be challenging for other products. A person may have to do some research and look through their customer records to determine what their target market is. However, the work is all worth it because once the target market is identified, the target advertising can begin.

Target advertising involves specific advertising to the target market. The target market will have certain places they frequent which make the perfect places to place advertising. They will also have a certain style that can be used to design the advertising. Knowing the target market makes advertising so much easier and more effective.

Another aspect of advertising effectively is to understand competition. Competition is any business that sells the same or similar products or services. This is important because there are also businesses out there that are complementary businesses. These businesses sell products or services that are not going to compete with your business, but actually complement your business. They may sell a product that works with your product or they may sell to your target market. It is a great idea to hook up with a complementing business when advertising.

The idea of a target market and complementing business can really take marketing efforts to a whole new level. Marketing efforts can be streamlined. Costs for marketing will go down and the effectiveness will really skyrocket. It is trick of marketing that many people do not understand, so understanding it can mean a lot of success for the home business owner.

For a business owner to take advantage of these concepts they should start by identifying their target market and complementing businesses. Then they can begin to contact the other businesses and develop advertising that works for their target market.

This is a great insider tip on marketing that many home business owners never end up knowing. It is something that can really help a business go from something small to something amazing. Every home business owner should understand these two key concepts in order to make their home business a success.

Work at Home as a Freelance Professional

Work at Home as a Freelance Professional
Copyright © Thomas Neville
Work At home Computer Based Business site

Starting a Proffessional freelance home business is a good idea for anyone who wants to work from home, be their own boss, and work on projects they are passionate about. If you have skills in graphic design, computer applications, and web design, writing, photography, and other artistic endeavors, then you may be able to freelance in your area. Depending on the needs for your services, you can work with clients locally, nationally, or internationally by relying on the Internet for most of your communication.

Researching the need for your skills is important so you can feel secure that there is enough business to keep you financially stable. If you are still working full-time, freelancing on the side is a great way to see if you can turn it into a full-time work from home position. Once you have determined there is a need for your services, then you can begin to search for jobs.

If you are planning to begin freelancing right away, you should first consider your financial situation. As a rule, you should have at least three months of living expenses in your bank account so you can pay bills and other expenses while building your business. Because it can take a few months to get established, you will need to have a financial safety net in place so you can relax and not have to worry about paying your bills.

If you have connections from any previous jobs you have had, contact them and let them know you are freelancing. They may have projects for you or they may be able to recommend your services. Networking is one of the most important tasks you can do when running a freelance home business. The more connections you make, the better your chances will be for on-going work and a steady income.

Along with networking, advertising your services is also important. Build a website, creating a mailing list, and contact companies that could be interested in using your services. These are all ways to increase your contacts and build a business. Once you have a steady group of clients who need to have projects completed, you should still advertise, but you won't have to be as aggressive.

Running a freelance home business is exciting and challenging. Being your own boss, setting your own hours, and taking on projects you can be proud to contribute to are the rewards for all the efforts you put into marketing, networking, and making connections. While you should enjoy your success, remember that even though you work from home, you are still working. Keep distractions to a minimum and always remain professional when speaking with a client on the phone or when meeting with them in person to discuss a project.

The Challenges of Being your Own Boss

The Challenges of Being your Own Boss
Copyright © Thomas Neville
Work At home Computer Based Business site

Being your own boss is a great experience. It is liberating and it seems like a dream come true for many people. However, being your own boss is also a lot of responsibility and something that some people may struggle with. It takes a special person to be able to stay motivated and focused enough to be their own boss. Fortunately, almost anyone can learn how to be their own boss just by understanding the challenges of the job.

Meeting deadlines and getting things done is something that the average worker simply does or they know they will be fired. In the work at home environment, though, those rules can sometimes be laxed. There may not be someone right there saying things need to get done. Clients may not be pushy, but that doesn’t mean they are not noticing the lack of professionalism. Being your own boss means being responsible and meeting deadlines. This requires a good schedule and being able to focus and stay on task.

It can be hard to not let the independence of the situation take over. A person may just be so happy that they can do what they more often that they forget about the work part of working at home. This is where problems happen. Having a good schedule can really help to prevent problems with too much independence.

Another problem is that finding a work at home job can sometimes be difficult. It can take time and it is important for a person to not get too frustrated or let the stress get to them. They should stay focused and keep at it. Being professional in all dealings will really go a long way to helping a person secure a work at home position. Persistence is key. A person needs to keep applying and soon they will find the work at home position that works best for them. It doesn’t hurt to also network and learn more about all the opportunities out there. Focusing too much on a specific type of job can be a problem, too.

Many people are not used to having to sell themselves. In the traditional working environment most people are chosen for a job on the criteria of whether or not they can do the job. In the work at home environment, though, employers want to know they are capable of doing the job and capable of working at home. This involves a person having to sell themselves to the employer so they know they can get the job done.

Working at home and being your own boss is a challenge. If it was easy then everyone would be doing it. That is why only some people can make working at home work for them. It is not something for everyone. Being your own boss means being responsible, staying focus, being persuasive and being committed. There really is no room for slacking because that will only cause problems. Being your own boss can be a very rewarding experience, but at the same time it requires a string will and drive to get those rewards.

The Importance of a Website to a Home Business

The Importance of a Website to a Home Business
Copyright © Thomas Neville
Work At home Computer Based Business site

There are two types of home businesses. One type sells products and the other sells services. For a product based home business there is nothing that is more important to success then a website. A products based home business must have a website because that will become the actual face of the business.

In the online environment, websites are everything. Without a website a business is not going to make it because there will be no place for customers to come and see or buy the products. Basically, for the home business a website is the storefront. It is exactly like a physical store for them. Imagine a business in the physical world trying to sell products without a store. That would be quite difficult and not very profitable. A business must have some place from where they sell their products. That is the bottom line.

With that in mind, a business owner needs to set up a website because it is important. Setting up a website requires some skills. Fortunately there are so many options that allow a person to set up their own website without having to hire expensive programmers or other professionals to do it. There are many website making programs that handle all the programming and involve simply the aesthetics of website creation.

The website should have some key characteristics. They are as follows:

Showcase the business. This includes what the products are and information about the company. Nothing should be left to question. When a customer comes to the website they should easily be able to find the information they need.
Develop a strong image. Every business that is well known has strong image that is recognizable. This may include using a slogan or a mascot, but not matter what it should be a major point of the website.
Make it easy to use. People want to shop where it is easy to shop. Giving them an easy to use website is a great way to make it easier for them to buy and make it more likely they will want to shop there.

There are plenty of things a website should have, but these are the main points. Basically, the whole idea behind a website is that it is the communication point between the customer and the business. These three points make that clear and also bring up the fact that a website is also the main representation of the business.

People are going to look at the business website for an idea of what the business is all about. If it is not professional then they will assume the business is not professional. People do not do business with unprofessional companies. It is easy to see the major importance of a good website to a home business.

Many times home businesses fail because they just do not get the point of a website. This is a critical point to being successful in a home business. It can not be stressed enough that for a home business to succeed, it must have a strong website.

The Two Main Types of Home Business

The Two Main Types of Home Business
Copyright © Thomas Neville
Work At home Computer Based Business site

There are two main types of home businesses. These two types are quite different when it comes to operating the business and even handling customers. The two types of home businesses are – service and product.

Service based home businesses involves selling a service to a customer. These businesses can usually get started for a small investment. They require a lot of commitment to the customer. In a service business the customer service is very important because the customer is not only buying the service but also the interaction with the business owner. The one main concern is delivering the service to the customer. You will be responsible for making sure you can effectively deliver the product. That may involve only selling in a specific are or utilizing tools like email or downloads. You may end up having to take a computer class or getting outside help to deliver your service.

A product based home business involves selling a product to the customer. The products are the main sales point. Customer service is important but it is really the product that draws in the customer and keeps them coming back. With a product business there are two options – selling your own product or selling someone else’s product. These two options are different, as well.

Selling your own product means you have to keep inventory of the product. You have to manufacture the product and handle all the legal issues about the product. You are in complete control over every aspect of the business. You ship, handle issues and sell. Everything is your responsibility. It is a big thing to take on, but if you have a good product it can mean huge profits.

Selling someone else’s product is easier. You usually do not keep an inventory or have to ship the product. Additionally, all of the legal aspects and product stuff is handled by the manufacturer. The major downside, though, is that you usually share in the profits with the manufacturer.

As you can see, a home business means a lot of choice. How do you decide which is the best choice for you? That usually involves thinking about what you are going to sell. If you already know then you know what type of home business is best for you. However, if you do not know then you will have to go out and start brainstorming. See what options are available and figure out what you want to do.

Getting into a home business can be really rewarding. It is important, though, to choose the right type of home business. Making the wrong choice could mean you end up not happy with your business or that you have problems getting it started or running it.

Learning as much as possible about each type of home business is a great way to make sure that you end up choosing the right one. It can really make a difference in the long run. You will find that by choosing the right home business that you find it easier to make decisions, sell to the customers and develop a good business plan.

Why Affiliate Programs are so Popular

Why Affiliate Programs are so Popular
Copyright © Thomas Neville
Work At Home Computer Based Business web site

In the search for a work at home job or a home business a person is going to run into something called affiliate programs. Affiliate programs are very popular and they can also be a very profitable and successful choice. Understanding them is important, though, before getting involved with one.

One of the first things a person needs to know about affiliate programs is the difference between them and a pyramid scheme. The two are very familiar, but there is a key difference. The difference is that with an affiliate program there are products or services being sold. In a pyramid scheme no products or services are sold. The reason these two can be confused is that both involve recruiting others in order to earn income. However, with an affiliate program recruiting is only part of the income. Selling products is another way to earn income and recruiting others is not even mandatory to earning money.

The basic idea of an affiliate program is that it starts with a company that is selling something. This company decides to find people who will sell their products or services for them. The company recruits these people, called affiliates, to sell their products and earn a commission for each product they sell. Usually the company will supply the affiliate with a website and all the tools they need to get started. The affiliate’s job then becomes advertising their website and selling the products from their website so they earn a commission.

In addition to selling the products or services, an affiliate is encouraged to get others to sign up for the program. When an affiliate gets others to sign up for the program they then earn money on that affiliates sales. When those new affiliates’ sign up people, the original affiliate earns money form them too. It keeps going like that so that a person can earn money on people who sign up many levels beneath them. This is the real money making area of an affiliate program, however, the bottom line is that if nobody sells anything then no money is made. A person can not earn money simply by signing up people if nobody is selling anything.

Affiliate programs are so popular because they are easy to get into. Most companies have well established programs that make getting started simple. Additionally, the earning potential is quite huge if a person really puts effort in to sales and recruiting new affiliates. With an affiliate program a person is really in control of how much they earn. It is a great idea for someone who is interested in a home business without all the start up work.

The keys to being really successful with an affiliate program are to choose the program wisely and then use it wisely. This means choosing to be part of an affiliate program with good products and a good reputation. It also means selling products and recruiting with effort given to each. Affiliate programs may be the thing you are looking for when it comes to a home business that is going to be inexpensive to start up and has a very good success potential.

Setting up the Best Work at Home Office

Setting up the Best Work at Home Office
Copyright © Thomas Neville
Work At home Computer Based Business

A home office is the center of having a home business or working at home. Many times people underestimate the importance of having an actual office area in which to work. It is important for many reasons and is essential when you are serious about working at home.

One of the reasons that a home office is important is that it helps to set apart a specific area that is for work only. When you have this special work only area it will help to get work done and stay more focused on actually working. Additionally, it tells everyone else that a person is working and that they can not be bothered.

Another reason is that having a home office makes the whole working at home environment much more professional. Everything is in one area and there is less of a problem with being disorganized and losing important documents and information.

In a good home office set up a person will have the following:

*Desk – should be large enough to accommodate the other office items and still leave room for working
*desktop computer – newest version possible, running a newer version of Windows
*printer – can be simple as long as print is of high quality
*fax – can use a computer fax program
*phone – ideally should be on its own line
*internet connection – high speed is preferred
*filing system – does not have to be elaborate, just sufficient

These are the main items that are usually something that a person will automatically think of when setting up their home office. It is often the little things that can trip a person up. Things like paper, pens, white out, a stapler, a hole punch and paper clips are more easily forgotten but not less important than the big items.

It is much like an office area that a person would have when working outside the home. They will have everything they need to be efficient in their business or work at home job. Being well stocked and prepared is the whole point of creating a good home office set up.

Besides just the basic set up, it is important to consider other things about the home office set up. It should be in an area of the home where there is not a lot of activity. It should ideally be in a room of its own. When the home office is in a room of its own it can then be used as a tax write off, which is an added bonus. Additionally, the home office needs to be a quiet area with limited distractions.

Having a good home office set up is imperative to being able to function in a work at home setting. Working at home comes with many distractions and it can be hard to be focused on working if a person does not have a specific work area. Additionally, potential clients or employers will find a person with a home office to be a better candidate because it shows professionalism and dedication.

5 Biggest Challenges to a Work at Home Business

5 Biggest Challenges to a Work at Home Business
Copyright © Thomas Neville
Work At Home computer Based Business

Working at home is no piece of cake. Most people understand that, but they do not really get why it can be so challenging. Outlined here are the five biggest challenges to working at home. These challenges will not stop a person from working at home but can cause a lot of problems and ruin any chance for making it in the work at home environment.

Challenge #1
Time

There is a lot of freedom when working at home on your own computer based business and that means being able to manage time efficiently is very important. It can be easy to let time get away. It is also easy to underestimate how long a task or job will take and not allot enough time to get it done. To keep time from being a challenge a person should develop a schedule and be sure to schedule both work and free time.

Challenge #2
Boundaries

Many times family and friends do not take working at home seriously which can lead to problems with boundaries. It can be hard to tell someone ‘I am working’ and actually get them to understand and accept it. To help with boundary issues a person should set up a work at home area that is specifically for work. When in the work area no personal phones calls or interruptions should be tolerated.

I've just found the greatest viral marketing idea of all time!
Download now a Free Viral E-book no waiting, easy step by step instructions to put it to work for you.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Challenge #3
Too much independence
Working at home is about freedom, but being too independent can lead to problems. Everyone needs interaction with others. One of the perks of working outside the home is interacting with other people. When a person works at home it can be easy to withdraw into that world and forget about the outside world. The outside world is important, though. Networking is huge part of working at home success. Every person who works at home should find some type of online environment to belong to and be able to escape to during the work day just to relax.
Challenge #4
Being out of the loop
This kind of goes with independence. Being out of the loop means not staying informed. Working at home is about staying informed and knowing what is going on in the industry in which you are working. A person should be a part of online groups and other communities that will give them information they should know.
Challenge #5
Lack of support
As mentioned before, sometimes family and friends will not be supportive. It is common for them to not believe a person is really working and that they are just messing around. The way to combat this is to show them what is going on. A person should show what they do, how much money they make and make it clear that this is a real job.
These five challenges are going to be an issue for almost everyone who works at home at their own computer based business. They are challenges that can be overcome, though, so they should never lead to a person giving up on working at home. Challenges will just make a person a better worker and teach them important skills they need to survive in the work at home environment.
Designing the best Website for your Home Business
Designing the best Website for your Home Business
Copyright © Thomas Neville
www.101WaysToIncome.com
There is a lot of information about how to build a good business website out there. There are a lot of tips and tricks on how to build a website without needing a programmer or hiring a professional. All of these technical tips and little pieces of advice often overlook the big picture and end up making the home business owner micromanage the small details. While this is nice and will actually be good for the business it is not the only advice a person needs to hear in order to build a good business website.
There are three key points to building a good business website. These three points can easily be lost in the technical aspect of building a website. They are very important, though, to the user. When building a website keeping the user in mind is important, especially when building a business website where the user is key to success.
The three points are as follows:
Point #1
Make it easy to use.
A website should be easy to use. A visitor should be able to navigate the site without hassle. This means they do not need to be bombarded with pop up ads or have to search for anything. Everything needs to right there for them and they should be able to easily see how shopping and checking out works.
Point #2
It should be informative.
Online users are now used to websites that are informative and actually offer them something. Most people will simply leave a website if they can not get information from it. People are spoiled, but that doesn’t matter. A website needs a section with a blog or articles that allow the user to get useful information.
Point #3
It should be clear and simple.
This goes along with being easy to use. A website should not be cluttered or difficult to figure out. People are not going to work to get to anything on a website. If they can not figure it out then they will leave. Menus should be clear and every aspect of the shopping experience should be clear.
In order to ensure a website meets these three points a business owner should try it out before going live. They should go through the website and make sure it is not confusing or there is too much on any page. It is also a good idea to put up a survey that allows visitors to say what they do and do not like about the site.
Making sure these three points are covered will really help to make a website a success. It can be a big boost for a home business, as well. People want a good experience and a good experience includes a website that is easy to use, informative and clear. This is all something that can be worked into the final steps of building a website. Once the technical things are handled the focus can shift to making it user friendly and making it a website that people are going to want to visit.
Starting Your Work at Home Computer Based Business
Starting Your Work at Home COmputer Based Business
Copyright © Thomas Neville
www.101WaysToIncome.com
In order to begin your home business you have to make plans to get started. Without a plan you go nowhere or you go in circles accomplishing nothing. In order to begin your business on the right path you should come up with a business plan, a marketing plan and a home plan.  Your business plan is a necessary item that will be needed for loan applications, the hiring of employees, for business affiliates and personal goal setting. You want to have information such as what your business is named and what the mission of your business is. What is your product or service and who is it being made for. Who is your target customer base? What will it cost to make your product and what can you sell it for? What will be your end profit? These key pieces of information are needed especially when you require start up funds. These can be funds from a bank loan or an affiliate who is willing to become a financial backer of your company. Create a binder or portfolio for your business plan. Make copies and keep this accessible for times when it is needed.
Included in your business plan should be a marketing plan or an advertising campaign. How do you plan to provide the consumer public with information about your business, product or service? Will you be renting a billboard, running newspaper advertisements, magazine ads, television, radio and so on? Will you have a website or be running Internet ads such as those sponsored by Google ad sense or Microsoft ad center? What is the cost of each advertisement media? Do you have the funding for these advertising efforts or do you need outside funds? This once again shows any outside parties that you have done the needed research to know how you plan to reach the consumer public for sales. You can also include the percentages or charts that show success of similar advertising campaigns and how well your marketing choices will relate to your business.
A home plan is for the benefit of you and your family while your business takes shape. You have to be realistic in the facts that a business does not become a hit success over night. Money, time and effort are needed before you will see a solid flow of income from your home business. You need to be aware of your household budget per week and month. Be sure that you have at a minimum three months worth of savings to allow for household expenses including utilities, food, gas, hygiene items etc. This will allow you to apply other funds to your business without creating strife in your home. You may also want to maintain a part time job position at your current job or elsewhere. If your spouse works this may not be required. The exact plans for a household will vary on the specific family needs. Preparation is key to a successful business start up as well as successful home life as the transition from an outside job to a home based career take place.
Boosting Morale By Allowing Your Employees To Work From home
Boosting Morale By Allowing Your Employees To Work From home
Copyright © Thomas Neville
Work at Home Computer Based Business
Are you losing good employees to the work at home market? This is something that many employers struggle with because they have found that people enjoy working from home. They are able to spend time with their families and do the things around the house that need to be done. Also, they can usually get much more done during the day by working from home than they would be able to do by working for you in your office. Therefore, you might have found that many of your employees leave what they are doing for you in order to work from home. You are then left with a bunch of people who aren't very good and who are not able to do the work that you had with your good employees. There are several things that you can do about this. First of all, you can help your employees by allowing them to keep working for you, but do most of it from home.
It all depends on your business, but most likely there is going to be something that your employees can do at home. Think about all of the things that they do each day, and unless they are working with customers the entire time they are there, they can probably do some or all of their work at home. Remember that if you can work out a system where your employees are allowed to do some or all of their work from home, they will probably be happier and better able to do the work that needs to be done at the office.
If you allow your employees to do what they can do at home, without having to worry about taking a dock in pay for it, you are going to find that you will have much better employees. This means that you will be able to take advantage of the morale that your employees have, and you will also be able to make them much happier with you and much happier in their lives in general. Allowing your employees to do what they can do at home will mean that when they are working in your office they are less likely to be bored or frustrated or burnt out. If you can have them come in several times a week for meetings or to do what they need to do, you will find that they are better able to have the morale that you need for your business.
Boosting morale is always a better way to get things done, rather than trying to drive your employees to work harder than they want to work. If you can make them happier with their lives by allowing them to have some time to work at home during the week you will find that they are actually going to produce more for you ,and be happier with the business overall. This might be the best way that you have to keep the good employees you have and attract new employees.
Warmest Regards,
Thomas Neville
The 10 Deadly Sins of an Affiliate Marketing Article
The 10 Deadly Sins of an Affiliate Marketing Article
Copyright © Thomas Neville
Work at Home Computer Based Business
At this point in time there is not an online entrepreneur left who does not recognize the immense power and promise that the use of an affiliate marketing article offers. Sure, text links and banner ads are great, but when it comes to creating the kind of advertising vehicle that consumers will hold on to and even pass on to others, you cannot beat article marketing! Of course, like any other good thing there are pitfalls to avoid.
As a matter of fact, the 10 deadly sins of an affiliate marketing article must be avoided at all cost, lest your company’s reputation will suffer!
1. Whatever you do with your affiliate marketing article, do not use it to spam a blog or a forum. Some self proclaimed marketers have attempted to use such articles as forum posts and while they might write different introductions for the article to make it look like an ad hoc posting in response to another forum poster, within a few short sentences it becomes painfully obvious that the post is little more than an unwelcome sales pitch.
2. Unless you are a seasoned wordsmith, have your affiliate marketing article ghostwritten. The sheer volume of badly written articles – be it diction, grammar, or punctuation – is legion and there is little more embarrassing than having your customers point out a number of mistakes and error.
3. Fact-check your articles. This is vital when you use statistical data but also quotes.
4. Keep it pithy. 400 to 500 words are more than sufficient to write a worthwhile piece of non fiction to market your company, good, or service. Exceeding the 800 word count is pushing it.
5. Do not put all of your advertising eggs in one basket but instead commission (if you use a ghostwriter) a number of articles that look at the topic and product form a number of different angles. This puts volume behind your marketing campaign and while one approach may not appeal to your readers, another one might have just the hook you need to get the reader to turn into a buyer.
6. Do not overdo the pitch in your affiliate marketing article. Sure, you want everyone to know that your products and company at the cat’s meow, but unless you tempter substance with advertising, you will not find too many readers.
7. Advertise one thing only per article. Choose your product, your company, or an email newsletter you are offering for free. Cutting down on the things marketed permit for the development of a great strategy throughout the article.
8. Forgetting to include an opt-in link to your mailing list or email newsletter subscription database is perhaps the most egregious of the 10 deadly sins of an affiliate marketing article. Each article that is not offering that option simply is not working hard enough for you!
9. Having too many articles that differ in tone. While some articles may lend themselves to be spunky but intellectual, the failure to have your article ghostwritten by one writer will lead to a number of different skill levels to craft your work. Instead, request that one freelancer be given the assignment to make sure the tone remains similar.
10. Last but not least, cutting and pasting freely available material from the Internet is a deadly sin that might not get you in trouble, but it will show that your company has nothing new to offer. This is not the impression you want your clientele to have of you, your product, or the company you represent!
Warmest Regards,
Thomas Neville
Online Home Based Business Schedule
Online Home Based Business Schedule
Copyright © Thomas Neville
Work at Home Computer Based Business
In order to run a successful online home based business, you need to create a work-at-home schedule that allows you to get all your work done each day. Even though you work from home, you still need to be productive in order to earn a living. If you are the type who procrastinates, then you may want to reconsider working from home. Those who are able to motivate themselves usually are successful. But this does not mean that people who lack self motivation skills can't learn, it may just be more difficult than for others. Creating a daily schedule may be necessary in order to maintain a steady pace.
In order to create an efficient schedule, you need to write down all the daily task that need to be accomplished during the day. Once you have these tasks written down, then you can begin to create a schedule. Based on the number of hours you want to work each day, you should set realistic times for completion so you aren't rushing through them. Instead, you can take your time to make sure they are done correctly. Many people believe they can accomplish more during the day than is actually possible, so learning how to budget time and gauge how much time each tasks takes can help you plan for your day.
Investing in a calendar, dry erase board, and other materials to create your schedule will help in the long run. Once you have a list, you can check off items as they are completed, add or subtract from the list, and determine how long you need to work each day. The more time you put into your business in the beginning, the more successful it will be. Online businesses are a wonderful opportunity for you to work from home, but you need to maintain a work ethic that is strong. Because you may have to complete various tasks that others in your previous job may have completed, you will find that there aren't enough hours in the day to get all the work done. This will change once your business is established, but you may need to put in extra hours in the evening and on weekends in order to make your business grow.
Online home businesses that sell products to others will require more work than selling services, or digital items such as books and manuals that can be downloaded onto a customer's computer. If you sell products on online auction sites or through a website, you will have to work out a packing and shipping schedule so you aren’t spending all of your time running to the post office to ship an order. Selecting one or two days a week to pack and ship items will help your work load tremendously. Depending on the popularity of your product, you may need to increase these days, especially around the holidays. When you stay focused on running your business and sticking to a schedule, you will find that success is not difficult to achieve.
Becoming an Affiliate Marketing Entrepreneur in Six Easy Steps
Becoming an Affiliate Marketing Entrepreneur in Six Easy Steps
One of the premier vehicles of making extra money for any savvy webmaster is the use of affiliate links. As a successful affiliate of any number of businesses, it is up to you to promote businesses which may be either online stores or brick and mortar businesses with store fronts that offer products which might be of interest to the visitors who come to your site. In the past, you could tell who was heavily engaged in the affiliate marketing trade simply by the copious amount of flashing banner ads and pop up windows; at this point in time, marketing techniques have been greatly refined and the odds are good that many an affiliate marketer is marketing to you at this very moment perhaps without even noticing it!
Becoming an affiliate marketing entrepreneur in six easy steps is a good idea for any webmaster that is ready to enter the fray:
1. Understand the lingo of affiliate marketing. Like any other business it is fraught with abbreviations and whether you are dealing with PPC or PPS makes a huge difference in remuneration. Once you are familiar with the terminology, check for trends in these terms and you will most likely have a good chance at ferreting out what is hot and what is on its way out.
2. Craft a website that is not only user friendly but also search engine friendly. It is immaterial if this is a personal opinion blog site, an online magazine, a site that is created with the specific purpose of selling a good, or a promotional site for a celebrity. Whatever you choose to make the topic of your site, do it well, make the content sticky so that visitors will come back time and again, and then ensure that you go through all the steps of search engine optimization.
3. Entering the business as an affiliate marketing entrepreneur now requires that you find businesses with which you wish to affiliate yourself. The businesses should offer products or services of interest to the kinds of visitors your website receives and the remuneration scheme should be favorable to you. In other words, if you decide to affiliate yourself with a piano manufacturer who will pay $100 per sale, but requires you to have a $1,000 account balance prior to payout, you need to ask yourself how realistic it is to make 10 sales within a month or two. If this does not strike you as realistic, it is wiser to stay away.
4. Advertise your business and also the affiliate in newsletters, customer emails, and informative articles.
5. Track your success. Granted, most likely the company will do its own tracking of your sales and clicks, but it does not hurt to compile reports not only to double check for accuracy but also to explore trends and attempt new marketing campaigns.
6. Have the kind of flexibility to cut lose a program that does not perform. If one program is not making you any money, it is wise to drop it in favor of another one that holds better promise.
Finding Out Who Really Owns Your Business
Finding Out Who Really Owns Your Business
Every home business owner loves the idea of owning their own business, but after a while it may become apparent that although their name is on the door and they are accountable for every legal aspect of the business, they may not be the actual owner. Whether you have accepted a business offer from an online customer, bought into a franchise or accepted investments from friends or relatives, the ownership or your home business has may be filled with some wrinkles.
In the online business world, you have probably seen the offers to sign up with a company to run your own business. Even though your name or the name of your business will be on the website, it is still owned by the main company. You are nothing more than a distributor for their products or services and without choice are following their business model, selling their products at pre-set prices and earning what the company says you are going to earn.
That is not to say it is a bad thing, but many people who join these companies delude themselves into thinking they are business owners. You will not be able to make any changes on the website, nor will you be able to still anything that is not from the main company and in a majority of these businesses you will not be allowed to adjust pricing. The only thing you can control is how much money you spend on marketing this new business venture.
Franchising in an excellent way to open a business, whether brick and mortar or strictly online, but it presents a similar situation for the franchise business owner. Fess will be charged to take advantage of any national advertising campaigns and you are restricted to using only products bought from them or their authorized distributors. Again, your name will be right up there as owning the franchise for the business, but the business itself.
Funding for a new business can be difficult, with a few choices available. If you have managed to save money over several years to fund your own start-up business and accept money from no outside sources, then you are truly the business owner. If you take money from investors, they may believe they have a say in how the business operates as they want to protect their investment and if you max out your credit cards to fund your new business, then it is owned jointly by you and the credit card companies.
One mistake many new business owners make is asking for loans from relatives to get their business up and running. While it may seem like a good idea at the time, conversation at holiday gatherings will go in the same direction as the business. If business is good and everyone is making some money from their investments then holiday meals can be a happy and fun time. Conversely, if business is not going as well as expected, turkey may not be the only thing discussed at the family Thanksgiving meal.
Can You Build A Work At Home Computer Based Business On A PPC Affiliate Program?
Can You Build A Work At Home Computer Based Business On A PPC Affiliate Program?
PPC is affiliate lingo for pay per click. In simplest terms, a PPC program option is one of the most sought after affiliate programs today, only surpassed by a favorable ad impression program. If you are accepted as a pay per click affiliate, you will get paid each and every time that a visitor to your site sees the affiliate link and clicks on it. This is a far cry from the old way of doing business where payment would only be rendered if the click led to an actual sale. Thus, pay per click is considered online to be one of the easiest ways of making money yet the questions of whether or not you can build a business on a PPC affiliate program is not as easily answered in the affirmative as you might think.
There are serious limitations associated with a pay per click affiliate program, first and foremost the need for visitors that will visit your website in droves. The payouts are ridiculously small and in order to truly capitalize on this kind of program, you visitors must decide by the hundreds and the thousands to click the links that have them leaving your site only to land on the affiliate business’ website. For smaller webmaster and also small business owners who rely on web traffic to sell their own products, this kind of affiliate program is the kiss of death. If you are successful in beefing up your website visitors but they leave your site to v
